WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

I don't quite understand the Star Wars hype for Force Awakens

I know they got a ton of fans.......but I only hear about it online and outta all the SW films only ONE made a billion.

So y exactly is this one so special? Disney?...Abrams?.... Boyega?

Im looking forward to it cuz no Lucas and John Boyega. Having a black man lead a movie that will end up top 3 box office worldwide is exciting to me. Maybe hell end up giving Daisy Ridley the business. Two slaps across the face of racists everywhere.

But on a serious note I do like Boyega as well as Gwendolyn Christie, Daisy Ridley, and Lupita Nyongo. I do like that Lucas aint touching the film. I trust in Disney. And its being written by dude who did ep. V. And Abramsgod

I was very disappointed to learn that Lupita Nyong'o is to play a cgi character for the new SW film. I'm only casually interested now.

I was always more of a Star Trek fan growing up anyway. Loved The Next Generation, Deep Space 9,Voyager..

As the others stated, no more Lucas.

I promise you, had someone else done the prequels, those 3 films combined, done proper, would have pushed 10 billion. Not joking.

The crappy first two still pushed towards a couple, and the 3rd did the best it could. Done right tho? With Vader/Anakin, Fett, Obi Wan, Clone Wars, Yoda, etc on top of whatever new characters they could have come up with not named Jar Jar.........****. :smh:

Now you have the Disney umbrella, same folks overseeing Marvel, you have better script writers, more input, less CGI, the initial film will feature OG cast members one last time while introducing new ones, and the cherry, themes from the EU that were extremely popular.

Follow that with a spin off film in 2016, ep 8 in 2017, another spinoff in 2018, and ep 9 in 2019, you see that same Marvel blueprint where Disney just stands around printing money 24/7.

The 4B they spent, they'll earn that back by summer 2017 with ease.

Some audition tapes for Daredevil season 2 landed online, and it's believed that they're for Electra. The videos were removed so it adds a little weight to the fact.

It's pretty much what everyone has said so far. A competent creative team that respects the material and a cast that is just god level. Also, having read all the spoilers, I'm very pleased with what they're doing with the story so far.

They're also doing everything right with the promotional material. That latest teaser was pure sex, did you see the stormtroopers, x-wings, tie-fighters, and millennium falcon? The team of rebels on the run from the empire? And ******* Han Solo at the end...this looks and feels like Star Wars in a way the prequels could never hope to.

Last Star Wars post before tha one dude yells at us for not talking about MCU again

Random but am I the only one that hated the fact that Chris Evans is the Human Torch and Captain America?

It never "bothered" me, but especially now, he IS Captain America and him being Johnny previously is completely irrelevant to me, as are those movies.

I'll still take Michael b Jordan in a marvel and he's going be the human torch real soon..

Not sure which role though :nerd:

Also like miles teller in the hand full of things I've seen him in

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" may have teased fans with an alternate ending but this does not mean Quicksilver lived.

In fact, the character's death remained undone and now, fans are speculating that Marvel and director Joss Whedon may have clashed over the film's final cut.

In a recent interview, Whedon revealed that he created an alternate ending where Quicksilver lived because he was uncertain whether or not Marvel will agree to kill off the character.

The director added that Marvel could create upcoming movies that will star Quicksilver so killing the character may not be a good idea.
Meanwhile, although Marvel ultimately agreed to kill off the character, this does not mean that Whedon did not have any difficulties talking to the production company.

According to Venture Capital Post, Whedon and Marvel clashed especially after the former experienced tons of difficulties while shooting "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Other than this, Whedon and Marvel also clashed over the number of deleted scenes the production company wanted to remove ahead of the film's release.

At one point, Whedon and Marvel didn't also agree on Thor's trip to the cave and Hawkeye's family living on the farm, but both were featured in the final version of the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" that was released in theaters last month.

According to Complex, the alternate ending for the film where Quicksilver will survive and reunite with the rest of the cast members will be available on the film's upcoming Blu-Ray release.

As the franchise got bigger the big guns also pulled their weight. This is similar to Comic-Con San Diego, where at the beginning it was all about the Comics, creators and interaction and when the Warners, Sony and the rest saw the money they turned it in to the summer event of the year... at the expense of all the previous small merchants that made their best sales in there.

The further profit they make, the more pressure there will be for the directors to "align" the movies to the corporations desire....

IDK. Marvel once put up this facade that they were some studio of creative talent. Since Edgar Wright left Ant-Man after 8 years of development, they ended up showing their true colors and its coming back to bite them. Whedon is more proof of that.
