WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

If I am being honest, I really am not too excited with another teen Spidey anymore and making it more teen/comedy oriented just makes my expectations lower even if Marvel is assisting in it's creation. Will wait til I see something from them but I could already imagine the cringeworthy jokes on the teasers/trailers.

Not as if we've really seen him in H.S. All we saw is Flash.

Huh? ASM1 is set entirely in HS/during HS. First half of SM1 is of him in HS.
And what do we get from him being in HS from both movies. Basically nothing aside from Flash. There's more to it than that. But I get it I guess.

I think I know where they are going with this. Don't really remember the older Spidey movies but with ASM, it was really just more of his relationship with Gwen and also life at home. But now, they will really try to immerse him in hs. We'll get to know teachers, more classmates, and the movie will be about him juggling everything he got going on at school and crimefighting life, I guess. He'll probably even have a circle of friends - Gwen, MJ, Flash, Harry (?) and they'll all work together to help him out ,etc.

I don't really care about movies set in hs like that all that much anymore, but as long as it's handled well, I guess

Feige on BP in Civil War
“The reason we introduced him in Civil War is because we needed a third party. We needed fresh eyes who wasn’t embedded with the Avengers and who has a very different point of view than either [Iron Man] or [Captain America]. We said, ‘We need somebody like Black Panther… why don’t we just use Black Panther?’ That’s how it went in the development process.”
“It is a role that he is still in the beginning phases of taking on. It’s a mantle he is only beginning to take on because his father is older.”
“Today, pre-Civil War, post-Ultron I think he and his father are saying, ‘A bunch of vibranium just got out of here and wreaked a lot of havoc. Maybe we can’t stay behind these borders anymore, maybe we have to stick our heads out and make at least an attempt to be a part of the rest of the world right now, while at the same time protecting our people.’ That’s sort of where we meet him in Civil War.”

Awesome news from Feige today :pimp:. I wouldn't be surprised if the origin piece set in the past was BP. Can't wait to see my man Daredevil in the MCU :smokin

Black Panther is a new starting point for all those jumping on the bandwagon. Its a great splitter from the older actors who will demand some serious paper now that IW1 y 2 has been outted.

If anyone of them gets pushy with requests, they can be murked in BP and the MCU keeps rolling.

I liked the idea of Peter having a group of friends who all know he's Spidey and they all try to help him out (translation: they all put themselves in danger during the final fight and he has to save them )

It's basically going to be an adaptation of the Disney XD cartoon. I'm not jumping for joy but I'm more interested in them going this route as opposed to what Sony had planned.

Setting Spider-Man in the MCU relieves the pressure to make every fight seem like the faith of humanity rest in his hands lol.

I feel like SM2 was the perfect balance of destruction & plausability (train scene was a big set piece but it wasn't like he was destroying Times Square)

If they really want to connect it to the MCU, they could have Phil show up and be the principle like in that cartoon. Also, since he's a kid I'm interested in the angle in which he may go. Will he geek out over meeting IM or want to be mentored by cap?

That is basically the plot of ASM 2 that people hated so much

How? I'm pretty sure the only friend he had was his actual girlfriend and she died

And I don't think a single person hated TASM 2 for her involvement. If I made a list of 10 bad things about that film I don't even think it would come into consideration

The Amazing Spider Man movies were kind of trash to be honest.

I watched them both in the movies and liked them, but then when I saw them a second time and really paid attention I noticed it was just lame joke after lame joke and the movies just weren't that good.

My girl Emma Stone dying made the audience do a collective "oooh..." sigh, and a lot of them actually expected her to survive that for some reason.

Their chemistry is the only redeeming quality of that film to me but hey..

Would of been cool (IMO lol) if they incorporated a Spider-Man: Blue subplot in TASM 3 but iont think Sony would of went that route

Emma Stone was the only thing good about those movies and they decide to kill her off?! Should have just killed garfield.
