Never been that big a fan of the black and gold. I've always wanted him to use the Silver and Crimson armor from Iron Man 2 more though. An upgraded version would look nice.

I like the black and gold,it could look :pimp: on screen. I just need to see this space suit when he eventually meets the Guardians

Yall Cap supporters need to smarten up. Take that L now, it'll be easier on you later.

Talking about banning ppl and telling us to leave the thread. These Cap supporters trying to stifle our freedom of speech :smh: More like Captain Communism #amirite?

You talking like it's common to take punches from dudes in metal armors. Like getting hit in the head by metal is a regular thing

this is the MCU we're talking about

in his last movie cap got thrown through a city bus and walked out without a scratch

regular dude tony stark gets thrown through steel structures with half a suit on in IM3 without breaking a bone

Really randomly weird part of IM 3 was when he got hit by a truck after resecuing everyone from the airplane and his suit completely coming off.

He goes through much worst and he's basically unscratched

A lot of stupid **** happens in that film but that has always annoyed me

Oh, just do yourself a favor and block IM3 from memory. As far as I'm concerned, IM3 is not canon and just a really bad fanfiction.

Is it just me or does It feel like casual comic fans regard Civil War as some amazing seminal Marvel story line while more seasoned comic readers regard it a good concept that was executed poorly, ultimately leading to a deeply unsatisfying conclusion?

I went opening night with a bunch of friends and this one girl said "this is stupid, why'd he blow up all the suits? And why doesn't he just give each Avenger a suit since he likes making them so much?"

We all just looked at each other  it's a valid point

You're right. I was being told Civil War was one of the best storylines Marvel has ever done...I read it and I thought it was mediocre. Same thing with House of M.

getting punched in the face by ultron or quicksilver >>> getting punched by iron man
This man knows

Never even thought of this. Would definitely like that

It's not just you. When people say its one of the best comics in the last x years you just know they have no clue what they are saying

We all know who is going to win this. I mean, his name is in the title of the movie
Bet Cap surrenders again when it comes to Stark

I have some doubt though, the movie is going to end up having some main villain threatening the world or something that leads to the heroes pushing aside their differences to save the day.

If it doesn't and leads to 2 separate Avengers groups, then clearly Stark wins. He's the one funding Cap's Avengers currently. Aint no other rich guys on that team. Hope they get use to operating out of NYC sewers.

yep

It's known mostly for the moments it produced and rarely mentioned for being flawed overall.

What you said about the story is something that can be said about a lot of Miller's arcs, heard him called the "Zach Snyder of comics" last week lol

House of M wasnt my favorite but I liked it. Thought it was LEAGUES better than Civil War.

I wonder what everyones recent favorite event or comic run is

Na. Pretty sure Hank Pym will just bankroll Cap's squad.

Didn't Annihilation run at the same time as CW?

Haven't read all of it but I've been told almost universally that it's one of the best Marvel events of the recent history

Depends on how you already feel about the event and then the context you want to place things in when it comes to ppl who disagreed with you.

CW definitely had it's flaws (many if you want to get in to it) and story wise it is definitely far from one of the best comic stories ever told but it's clearly a hot topic that'll generate talk that's evidenced by it being the best seller.

Executing events is a very hard thing to do, especially with tie-ins. Millar got caught up coordinating it all with Marvel editorial and the story reportedly did change a bit and i the end we got what we got.

I do know of some seasoned comics fans that loved the event if only for what it set up down the line.

I really liked Messiah Complex, Messiah War, and Second Coming. Fear Itself was decent, but Age of Ultron was a let down.
