Honestly, the whole surrealism of Spidey's superhero career vs his normal life has been a thing since forever

He'll go from helping the FF thwart intergalactic doom to worrying about his Aunt May's hemmorhoid medications

True but for the stand alone movie the tone is supposed to be "John Hughes" esque.

Nothing that happens in HS could compare to hanging with the Stark and fighting against Avengers

His identity definitely can't be exposed yet either.

John Hughes esque is just a description and selling point to promote the vision of the franchise.

Peter Parker is not gonna stop caring about HS just cuz he was in a big fight. If anything that fact is used as a storytelling technique for why he continues to struggle socially in HS. He'll bring it up but it's not a reason for him not to care about friends, gfs, education, etc. Plus there's the whole part of it being the law and not wanting to worry his Aunt May or reveal the truth about being Spidey.

Peter Parker is a thoughtful person. A little saving the world and fighting superheroes isn't gonna make him lose all perspective on that and see having a normal life as something beneath him. He's not Lex Luthor or Batman.
