WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

If marvel got the rights back, with creative control, then they would have to reboot it anyway. Marvel's uncast peter >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> either one of these guys.

why are yall so negative about Spidey possibly entering the MCU? the studios have obviously been having discussions about trying to involve him some how. not saying it will happen but ya need to stop acting like it cant. Lame's "I Told You So" speech is gonna be heard round the world if and when this happens..

If they do get the rights back and do away with the Sonyverse and recast everyone, we would be happier than lamekilla. That's the only way it could happen. The Sony spideyverse aint merging with marvel. Which is what we are really complaining about.

Even as a guy who liked ASM 1 better than Raimis SM1 I dont want that trash to mix with what Marvel has set up.

You have to realize that at this point that these talks are not in vain. Sony is desperate and are putting spiderman on the table and Marvel despite the success they are having WILL NOT pass up an opportunity to have the main character of their universe and most popular superhero on the big screen with everything they've established for audiences thus far. Marvel is already making a killing off of spiderman merchandise just because of his involvement with other marvel superheroes in the animated series. If he's in a film with these other larger than life heroes :wow: Star Wars who? Spiderman joining the MCU is inevitable. It's more so a matter of how they'll introduce him. I'm absolutely confident that Marvel will use Garfield as their spiderman as well.

Honestly man, **** both Tobey and Garfield.

I like the guy who plays Flash as Spidey if there was a recast

Has the geekiness that Tobey brought and is a little cool like Garfield

He seems pretty loyal to his current fanbase. He said he would get a flash tattoo. Dont know if he ever went through with it. Honestly i agree now that you mention it.

If you're seriously going by these articles you have to admit you were 100% completely wrong about your anniversary poster nonsense. No other way around it.

? How so ?
You're saying a poster commissioned by Marvel comics for it's 75th anniversary was a clue laying the ground work for Spider-Man to crossover in to the MCU.

The articles clearly say they were in talks but then they were deaded and that SONY was going forward with their own plans and then the other one says that they have resumed talks because SONY decided to give Marvel a better offer and let them have full creative control.

If it was Marvel that deaded the talks and SONY that compromised to get Marvel to reconsider then it makes no sense to pretend like that anniversary poster has anything to with the movies at all. That's how.

???? zik stop. When do you think the talks of Marvel trying to reacquire spiderman from Sony started? Could it have been when Sony produced the iron man: rise of the technovore film for marvel? Or maybe it was when Sony was doing VFX for guardians? Sony and Marvel are obviously on good terms and Sony's financial troubles haven't been something that's quiet. Sony wants to give Spiderman to Marvel, Marvel wants Spiderman from Sony. The poster is clearly showing MCU heroes and Spiderman, why would marvel pair spiderman with their MCU heroes in a picture if their wasn't some type of foreshadowing? Spare me the "Greg Land just draws, he doesn't know what's going on"

Cuz SONY's Spidey sucks.

It wouldnt be Sonys Spidey tho.

with Marvels hands on the project itll be flawless, even if it has continuity with the Sony films. i dont care really they can reboot (which is stupid i dont wanna see the Ben Parker/ bit by spider thing for the third time).

Still Andrew>Tobey tho.

Or **** it and bring in Miles.. :smokin

There should be no 'if it has continuity with the Sony films'

I liked the ASM movies but if Marvel is going to do Spidey, I'd like to see Marvel's interpretation, from scratch.

You guys act like Marvel will make a Spidey films if there is a deal that comes trough.

They are going to reboot the character but he is like Batman, at this point you don't need a whole film for his origins. They can just cast someone new and people will just realize that is a different Peter from Andrew and Tobey. You can literally insert him in any film without a problem, no one is going to be wondering, "hmmm, where did Spideys power come from? How did he become Spiderman and why?"

If you're saying Marvel should avoid retelling Spidey's origin, I agree. But if you're saying Marvel should pick up where ASM2 left off, I disagree.

Definitely no more origins, just insert Spidey in any of the upcoming film and let Marvels great storytelling take it's course.

Not saying whether they should continues what ASM laid out or not though.

While I did not love ASM2, I have no qualms with it. I don't hate it or even rank it on the same level as SM3 so I really wouldn't mind it continuing. I really have no problem them going with a new cast and completely ignoring the ASM series either.

'While I did not love Asm2,i have no qualms with it'

Yea, that's exactly why Marvel needs to do their own interpretation of Spidey

yea no origin. just throw him in.

i personally enjoyed ASM1&2, but if they didnt continue with that id be fine.

No one wants to see that. Just throw him in the universe and say the Avengers did not recruit him yet. Spidey being an Avenger is relatively new anyway

sony needs to stop dragging this and hand it back to marvel. need a teaser trailer with spidey from marvel :nerd:

I used to be dying super hard for Spiderman but very lately, I've been changing my thinking...

Without Marvel having all its properties under one roof, it's forced them to get extra creative, and it's been working...

If Marvel had the X-Men and Spidey and Fantastic Four,

We wouldn't have had this Inhuman mystery going on in Agents of Shield, Marvel bringing in characters like Mockingbird and Hyde and Quake and who knows what else

There wouldn't have been a Guardians of the Galaxy movie

No Netflix miniseries with Jessica Jones, Daredevil, etc.

No Inhuman movie, no Captain Marvel movie

I've grown to anticipate what Marvel would want to do with their more obscure properties

If Spiderman comes to the MCU, then great. I'd love it but they got to reboot him (there doesn't need to be an origin movie, but they got to cut ties with the ASM universe completely)

If Spiderman doesn't come, I'm sure the MCU will be just fine.

Probably no BP movie either or it would happen even further down the line than it is now.
