But Marvel was going bankrupt or declared bankruptcy, so they had to sell those properties.

Spiderman is only one more character and probably the most important character missing from the Avengers. X-men can ride their own wave. And I'm sure we would still see some of the other marvels teams based off of how well Marvel is received.

I mean spider man is not a traditional member of the avengers, generally he's off in his own stuff.


I think the avengers would be fine without him, they already have too many characters.

X-Men being stand alone is fine. Other than a select few of X-Men members (Wolverine, Beast) there isn't really a lot of interaction with those groups.

I think it has to.

No way this kind of deal comes together for Spiderman to be anything other than a central part of the next films. and who's screan time is that going take up, not Cumberbatches, but the most unknown roles characters; BP and Captain Marvel.

Why would it? I'm sure Marvel already has BP as a key role in Civil War. As it has been said many times, Spider-Man doesn't necessarily have to have a big role in Civil War in order for the story to work. 

Marvel will find a way to creative way to tie him into the universe.
