WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Dealing with the death of Cap can be the first part of the storyline for Cap 3 with plenty of time for him to be brought back and A3 is no problem. Pretty easy.
How can Cap star in a Cap 3 film if he's dead?

This is why you gotta strap up, bro. I've had a few scares in my day, as well.

JK. Lol. This movie is going to be awesome.

amazing how 1 letter can change a statement dramatically.

I meant, I hate when I come in here.

I hate myself every time I come in her.
The anxiety
Truer words have never been spoken. #teamrawbutimnervousuntilshegetsherperiod

on a srs note, because caps shield is shown as cracked, i bet he dies and just like the comic books, Falcon becomes capt america. (theyll figure out how to give him the super soldier serum)

I love the way Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen bounce off each other. Liz is hillarious

He's the reason she got the job apparently. When Saoirse Ronan declined the part he recommended her because he worked with her in Godzilla.
They do work real well together tho. Can't wait to see em on screen.

If I were him i'd like to work with Lizzie as much as possible too.

Didn't know Saoirse was up for the part. I'm a fan of hers too. Kinda weird first seeing her as a kid in Atonement and then thinking she's cute in the host.
Who the hell turns the Avengers down?

Winter Soldier takes his mantle. You asked the wrong question. It should be how could he die if he has 2 more movies on his contract?

Treat him like they did with Han Solo in the OT. He can be incapacitated at the end of AoU, br brought back in Cap 3, and be just as new for his final appearance against Thanos in Avengers 3 before he has his Bruce Wayne moment and realize that Sam or someone else can replace him as Captain America going forward....or, just have Scarlett Witch alter reality and turn everyone into different actors

Saoirse Ronan does. Jason Mamoa turned down Guardians, which means he effectively turned down a future Avengers film.

It should be the running joke of the Avengers. She should break the fourth wall every time she does it too

An excerpt from Joss Whedon: The Biography features a pretty fantastic exchange between Tom Hiddleston and the director after the British actor had read the script for The Avengers.

Joss, I am so excited I can hardly speak.

The first time I read it I grabbed at it like Charlie Bucket snatching for a golden ticket somewhere behind the chocolate in the wrapper of a Wonka Bar. I didn't know where to start. Like a classic actor I jumped in looking for LOKI on every page, jumping back and forth, reading words in no particular order, utterances imprinting themselves like flash-cuts of newspaper headlines in my mind: "real menace"; "field of obeisance"; "discontented, nothing is enough"; "his smile is nothing but a glimpse of his skull"; "Puny god".

... Thank you for writing me my Hans Gruber. But a Hans Gruber with super-magic powers. As played by James Mason ... It's high operatic villainy alongside detached throwaway tongue-in-cheek; plus the "real menace" and his closely guarded suitcase of pain. It's grand and epic and majestic and poetic and lyrical and wicked and rich and badass and might possibly be the most gloriously fun part I've ever stared down the barrel of playing. It is just so juicy.

I love how throughout you continue to put Loki on some kind of pedestal of regal magnificence and then consistently tear him down. He gets battered, punched, blasted, side-swiped, roared at, sent tumbling on his back, and every time he gets back up smiling, wickedly, never for a second losing his eloquence, style, wit, self-aggrandisement or grandeur, and you never send him up or deny him his real intelligence.... That he loves to make an entrance; that he has a taste for the grand gesture, the big speech, the spectacle. I might be biased, but I do feel as though you have written me the coolest part.

... But really I'm just sending you a transatlantic shout-out and fist-bump, things that traditionally British actors probably don't do. It's epic.

Whedons reply:

Tom, this is one of those emails you keep forever. Thanks so much. It's more articulate (and possibly longer) than the script. I couldn't be more pleased at your reaction, but I'll also tell you I'm still working on it ... Thank you again. I'm so glad you're pleased. Absurd fun to ensue.

Best, (including uncharacteristic fist bump), joss.

I'm surprised there's not one leaked video. Don't they have cameras in hats or in glasses these days.

Disappointed with the nerds.
