WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

I don't think he has the four gems yet.I believe he knows the locations of them though.I just don't think he'll get all of them because he takes over a Gods body which enables nebula to grab the glove, then she takes control, then Adam warlock takes control, but the continuity and adaption would be wayyyyyyyy to long lol.I think Vision is the key. When Thor was explaining his reasons for bringing Vision alive,he probably saw him as the one coming through with the most important role.Besides,Thanos is a badass but for some reason he always sets himself up for failure on purpose,I believe he himself even doubts himself worthy of being in full control of the universe. All he wants in some love from death. The things a woman will do lol

Nebula getting it for a moment would be nice. She could give herself some hair.

wonder if they will do the snap of the fingers half of the universe dies thing

maybe they do that at the start of the first movie then by the second movie they figure out a way to get everyone back and fight thanos head on

If he doesn't do the snap, and we don't get to see numerous characters we've grown attached to over all these films be erased from existence, i'll be disappointed.

Fan made poster I made. Just gott done with my semester so I'm trying to up my graphic design

Somebody else said it as well, but it's cool that Stark is no longer the face of the MCU

The main reservation I have about Infinity War

Marvel Studios hasn't bothered to introduce any kind of cosmic authority whatsoever into their verse besides maybe Odin, but they want to make a two-part movie about the Infinity Gauntlet. (Obviously Galactus and the Silver Surfer are outside of their permission)

All of their movies besides GOTG have been too focused on Earth (yes, even the Thor movies). I'm seriously hoping Doctor Strange expands the verse so that we're properly prepared for IW.

Thanos' scene in AoU was cool, but it was completely hamfisted in. Thanos himself had no real connection to the plot besides the fact that he gave Loki the Scepter in A1, so him going "Fine, I'll do it myself" at the end of this movie made no sense whatsoever. Whedon should have incorporated Thanos into the plot more, given him a role like the one he had in GOTG.

Ragnarok, Civil War, and Doctor Strange all need to be preludes to Infinity War for this to succeed

It didn't make sense to seed Thanos into AoU... that movie is already overstuffed as it is

Thanos has 3 years to make his arrival - I'm assuming they will be seeding him more frequently in future Marvel installments..

Meh. What more do we need to see from Thanos? An origin?

We already know what he's about.

My main point isn't Thanos. My point is that the cosmic Marvel verse as a whole has been poorly established outside of GOTG

So far there are no real players besides the Avengers, the Guardians and Thanos, despite the Infinity Guantlet being part of a major cosmic conflict

Thanos wants to rule the Universe, but right now it's just him vs the Avengers. The Avengers live on Earth, besides Thor, whose movies have done next to nothing to expand on the cosmology. There aren't even any promises of the Guardians appearing, though it's likely. Who else is part of the conflict? The lame *** Nova Corps?

Which is why I'll keep saying that Ragnarok and Dr. Strange need to serve as proper buildup to this conflict.

It hasn't been poorly established. It just hasn't been delved into that much period. Guardians had to set up their world. And they have a sequel coming that can open more doors. Only thing to knock are the Thor films, which is understandable. I mean we have 8 films before we get to Thanos. Lets let those play through before worrying about that.

On an unrelated note, now that I think about it, having the Inhumans come after the Civil War stuff is kinda perfect imo. It closes the whole Thanos chapter, and it opens a new one with powered people and all that ushering a new period for the MCU.

They only have one movie dealing with the cosmic universe. Dont see why the cosmic universe needs to be set up so much if he's coming to earth anyway.

Not to mention we still have Guardians 2, and CM. We would also have Inhumans but Spidey ****** that up.

I was confused by the order too..

Maybe Black Bolt and them will still show up before IW part 2, it's just that they'll get their own movie after part 2 to launch a new era in mcu or something

That's also what I think will happen but even without seeing both scripts you just know Inhumans would've been better inside the two movies.

BP, IW, CM, Inhumans, IW2 is a better order than IW, BP, CM, IW2, Inhumans

No. Its AFTER Infinity war part 2.

CM and Inhumans were supposed to be between the Infinity War movies (making me think they would both be cosmic)

Now we get inhumans after thanos :smh:

if I remember correctly I think In humans was always intended to be after Infinity Wars since they announced it last year. I may be mistaken tho.

Ehhh we got GotG 2 to help add a little more cosmology in there

Inhumans was to be between IW I and II but Spidey being in 2017 pushed it back

The cosmic beings not being established yet aint that big of a deal. I'd say just spring them all during IW, we all know they'll get one shotted once Thanos has the gauntlet complete.

Infinity War isn't necessarily going to be a Infinity Gauntlet adaption anyway. This sentiment has already been brought up with the MCU not doing exact adaptions of other storylines. So if you're a comic fan expecting them to seed the whole cosmic order of the Marvel universe I expect you'll be disappointed.

In the end, all fans need to know about is Thanos wanting some Death yambs and being aware that the Living Tribunal is at the top when it comes to being involved with these sorts of situations (cuz obviously TOAA isn't going to play a direct role). Love, Hate, Chaos, Order, Infinity, Eternity, The Stranger, The Inbetweener, and Celestials showing up will all just be gravy to add to the war part of the story.

As for the movie order I've already complained about. I feel Feige was a bit too nice with Sony giving Spidey's solo a MCU slot and pushing the other stuff back but it was so early which is why the placement was flexible. I never really thought the Inhuman movie would've expanded a great deal on the cosmology of the Marvel universe when Agents of SHIELD already established their origins on Earth with the Kree. I always expected that movie to heavily be about the royal family and a few other new Inhumans while world building their society and relationship with humans. Only difference is it'll be a post IW setting rather than them having a movie and then showing up right after in IW pt2.
