WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Thanos>>Apocalypse. On his best day En Sabah Nur has never had the power to kill half the universe.

That's an outlier. Any character can do what Thanos did given the power of the Infinity Guantlet and all the Gems.

In reality, and without the gauntlet, Thanos and Apocalypse are as even or seperate in power as any writer deems them to be.

True, but I assumed the question was referring to thanos with the gauntlet, since he is so well known for having it.

Tho on thinking about it id still probably say thanos whether he had the gauntlet or not.

I'd say logically speaking, yes Thanos should be stronger

But if a writer were to make Apocalypse beat him, it wouldn't be ridiculously far-fetched

And I'm not feeling the director/screenwriter choice for Dr. Strange :smh:

so thanos had two of the gem stone from the staff and the cube. and he just gave it away. now he is on a quest to get it back. make no sense, especially since they make seem like he been looking from them since forever lol.

The stone being in the staff is a silly retcon, but presumably the idea is that he gave it to Loki so Loki could procure the cube for him.

Then, Thanos would probably betray Loki and retrieve the staff

Why can't Thanks just go to Earth and take it??

Also..did Iron Man 3 do ANYTHING to advance the MCU at all?????

LikE for real, no hate, but what was its purpose in the MCU??

Every movie doesn't have to advance the MCU. If people are expecting that from every movie, that is truly a sign of people being spoiled by these movies.

As much as I dislike IM3, I think it did a great job in establishing Tony's PTSD fron the invasion of New York and his newfound resolve to go to extreme measures in order to protect the Earth.

We see already that Tony is becoming more and more unscrupulous in his methods and character, and IM3 helped introduce us to this new Stark.

Anyway, I don't really expect the IM movies to advance the MCU. Thor, however :smh:

Setting up Loki in 1 as a future antagonist was cool. But the Aether wasn't established as an Infinity Stone until the post-credits scene which annoys me

Anyone think Red Skull gon come back during Civil War as a politician or something?

I hope we see Red Skull again, but I'm not holding my breath. He didn't die in CA First Avenger, he seemed to teleport to a higher dimension.

And I agree looking back that IM3 did a good job of establishing Stark's PTSD and the Iron Legion. Now his agenda is believable. Had they not established those things, the lead up to Civil War wouldn't make much sense.

If anything, the PTSD thing didn't work for me in that movie. The scene when Stark had his little panic attack was cringeworthy. RDJ didn't pull that off well.

WHAT!?! LOL
Its no secret that all the movies are connected all coming together leading upto Infinity War

All the movies either deal with the Stones,Introduce new hero's, or with the relationship between the heros on a broad scale

EVERY single movie doesn't have to connect to the others. Standalone films still work.

The Cosmic Cube was classified as a Infinity Stone in the after credits scene as well.

The PTSD was being shown well until that kid popped up and suggest that he fix it by building things, and it worked :smh: :smh: :smh: Movie was already lackluster, but at that point it was beyond hope of redemption in my eyes.

That was already the rumor for Redford's character in TWS. I don't think it'll happen plus that'll waste too much time explaining how the RS survived at the end of Cap1 and why he chose now to come back instead of all the other chances.

If there's a Cap movie or Avengers one where the Skull returns I just hope it's to establish something like the Masters of Evil and his daughter Sin since the guy who plays Skull doesn't want to do it anymore.

Just like Edward Norton, I don't really miss him or think they ever need to revisit him. He did his thing in Steve's origin but as far as villains go, he wasn't really anything out of the ordinary.

I think you can hint and establish certain things in each movie, without overdoing it.

I don't want EVERY MCU movie to be about leading up to another  MCU movie. That was one of my problems with Age of Ultron... too much set-up for future films when this  should have been a big payoff movie.

Outside of the Black Panther and the Thor stuff, what other set up was there?
