WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Saw it and is easily my favorite MCU origin film. They made the right decision of having Douglas as Pym being a focal point of the film because I'm not sure if Rudd could've led this on his own. All the performances were great. Visually the movie was great, especially the shrunken down scenes. That has to be a big reason on why the film was delayed so much because a decade ago, the effects would've looked goofy. The plot is very straightforward, there are no twists and turns. The one twist they could've saved was Falcon's appearance. I have 0 clue on why they threw him in the trailers. Would've been a cool surprise. Darren Cross was an ok villain. He just needed more screentime, and would've been better. Overall a great film and surprised I liked it so much. 4.5 / 5.

This. I was actually still surprised by this cameo because I didn't watch the Antman commercial with Falcon in it, so i had no idea what context his appearance would be in.

I think I have to start going in blind to these movies. I feel like watching the trailers spoils some of the surprise and :wow: for me. From now on im gonna try watching only the first official trailers for these type of movies.

My two favorite films of the year so far, Mad Max and now Ant-Man, I've basically gone in blind. Watched a trailer for each twice at most and it has definitely been rewarding. The only thing I remembered from the Ant Man trailer was when Scott said "I'm done breaking into places and stealing ****.," and Hank responds "I need you to break into some place and steal some ****." Hell I did not even know Michael Pena was in this movie until he picked up Paul Rudd from jail.

I think the only trailer I've seen over and over is Star Wars.

Pretty much everyone involved killed it.

I don't know how many origin stories we've seen but they managed to keep this one fresh with the humor.

And they basically dropped the mic twice with the end credit scenes, which hasn't happened in a while.

Honestly this has been how i've handled every film i've seen this summer. Age of Ultron, Mad Max, Jurassic World, Terminator Genisys; I watched the original trailers and then the expanded trailer(s) when they came out, but didn't really do any heavy research into things or keep track of who was going to be acting, speculating on what each person's role would be, etc. I think the overall experience is definitely heightened the less you know going into that screening. People mentioned that Falcon had a cameo, and I honestly completely forgot about it because I didn't pay attention when they said it. So my surprise and joy at seeing him in the film was that much better And the same goes for a lot of other actors in this film that i'm familiar with.

wont lang start to go crazy after extended usage of the antman suit?

i guess they will find a "cure" like they did in IM2 so that he can continue to be antman for the next 10 movies

Read he'll be going Giant Man in Civil War.

Won't be surprised if they use Lang in place of Foster for civil war. Just to give the film higher stakes and a casualty...

Anybody know how many films Rudd is signed on for?

Also my Ant man review will have to wait till off day. I've yet to see it because I've been swamped with work :smh: :wow: :smh:

I dodnt even see AOU. In theaters. I figured the formula theyd use for it.. but this i was interested because i knew nothing about antman and i wanted to learn like i did with guardians. I only saw one trailer prior to watching it.

“It’s going to be certainly a part of our Phase 3; some of the films we've announced in Phase 3 " revealed Kevin Feige when Yahoo had asked when we'll see Lilly's Wasp on-screen. "It is going to be a very important moment [in Ant-Man], and — spoiler alert! — we see that suit for the first time, and her father now is finally giving it to her and realizes that he can’t hold her back from what is essentially her destiny. It's gonna be a very big part of one of our upcoming films.”

Captain Marvel about to be a Girl power team up

Finally saw ant-man. Nothing special about the film. Typical extended superhero training montage.

For an engineer dude can be dumb.

Breaks in a house to return what he stole

Telling falcon his name in the beginning of a break in

As far as easter eggs go I am surprised no one mentioned
The relationship between the man and the suit is symbiotic

This movie definitely suffers from the director switch. I dont care for Edgar Wright but I see his vision and liked it. Wouldve definitely been better with him on board. You can tell which scenes were his and which were marvel's

This is not a breakthrough movie for marvel. Out of the 12 I would rank it 7th or 8th.

I see all this Hope praise but she was such a *****. People actually wanting them to be a couple :smh: Hope it's only females spewing that ********

Darren Cross was a weak villain even by Marvel Standards.
