Was there a leak on wether Thanos would be in this one? Or are they just late to making a Thanos toy. Cuz i feel like that GotG branding is to throw us off.

This Hot Toy is for the GOTG line bro...there is no AOU Thanos.

This figure is just too awesome. And while I hate double dipping on figures, I may have to once the eventual Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet comes out in 5 years laugh.gif

He'll probably have a different gear on in 5 years anyways, Marvels gon' milk these products. I think his helmet is already different from the one we saw in the Avengers.

It's gon' be like Thanos Mark II with the Infinity Gauntlet.

Can someone school me on how much Marvel makes on these niche figures. And what's the business model? Not talking about the Mattel and Hasbro stuff. Im talking about the niche one of 500 for 150-350+ a piece stuff.

Im guessing Hot Toys pays marvel a one time fee to make the toys for every x amount of toys made.

Earlier in the the year feminist went at DC for shirts said "Batman's wife" instead of having batgirl batwoman merch. They said they have no control over what licensees create so I assume Marvel is more or less the same.

There's really no info out there but that seems to be the case. I believe Hot Toys pays Marvel a licensing fee and then has to get another one from the actual actor to use their likeliness. It's why they've made Hicks from Aliens and Billy from Predator, but couldn't use Michael Biehn or Sonny Landham faces. Or why sometimes, they blur out the facial sculpts until they're approved.

You could say that about damn near every other hero though. Dude doesn't have a batcave to strategize in and all that. He pretty much responds to what happens on the fly.

Spiderman is the "uber" of super heroes though. Tbh.

He could be the Dark Knight of the marvel universe, but its not in his character. So he just picks up freelance hero gigs

MEH IDEA: Joss Whedon Isn’t Likely To Stay On For Another Avengers

In an interview with Empire Magazine, Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon seemingly confirmed rumors that he’s not sticking around for the third movie in the franchise. “I couldn’t imagine doing this again,” he said, saying that the process was “enormously hard,” and adding “I obviously still want to be part of the Marvel Universe—I love these guys—but it ain’t easy. This year it has been more like running three shows than any year of my life.” Also, in case that’s not enough hard evidence, he got more explicit: “it’s very doubtful that I would take on the two-part Infinity War movie that would eat up the next four years of my life.” Sorry, Whedon fans. Or is that good news, because it means he’ll get to make his own stuff again?

Well that basically confirm it..

anyone subscribe to the Marvel subscription box?
that makes three for me now smh.
will probably cancel my other two subscriptions come April because this is all i wanted from these other services, and the past 2 from both have been lackluster.
supposedly this will be the only way to get the Funko hulkbuster POP.

We had dudes in here arguing if the emails were even real when they included certain hero laugh.gif

It's news that he finally publicly acknowledges it.. Wonder if he'll still be involved in the MCU *cough* Captain Marvel *cough* or oversee the television stuff

Which offer did you choose? I want to do the $150, but afraid it may not be worth it. I just want the Hulkbuster.

a little off topic, but is it just me and my friends that grew up pronouncing Thanos's name "THAY-nos" and not "THa-nos" as they do in GotG?

So what's the theory going that IM is trying to lay the smack down on Hulk?

Yes, it's pronounced ThA-Nose.

Has this been confirmed? I still believe that Tony turns heel and the first person he goes after is banner. The whole Scarlett Witch brainwashing hulk feels clichè

He asked for a theory.

But from what we've seen so far, I don't think Tony turns heel in this one, at least not until the very end that leads to CW.

If he turned heel then that means he would join forces with Ultron but they are obviously showing us that Ultron was created by Tony (and Banner iirc) and then it turns on him.
What if Ultron gets control of one of Iron Man's suits and attacks Hulk?

Hulk thinks it was Stark and attacks him and then Tony hops in the Hulk Buster suit to try and stop him.

In a few of those pics, Hulk has red eyes thats probably why most believe the Scarlet Witch/Hulk Theory

I think each of the Avengers are gonna go about their own way to beat Ultron and he'll beat them all. They'll all come together in a final battle where Tony is on a suicide mission to rid the world of what he "created" and he is saved by the rest of the team and Ultron is defeated in large part by Vision who half the team doesn't trust. Ultron is done but vision is still around. Many of the members are apprehensive toward AI and Tony especially. Tony is hell bent on all superheroes including himself taking responsibility for damages they've caused to the world. Steve points the finger at Tony. Tony feels like Steve is still living in a naive world....eh something like that

He's asking if he's the only one who used to mispronounced it. Not what the pronounciation is.
