He'll probably have a different gear on in 5 years anyways, Marvels gon' milk these products. I think his helmet is already different from the one we saw in the Avengers.

Can someone school me on how much Marvel makes on these niche figures. And what's the business model? Not talking about the Mattel and Hasbro stuff. Im talking about the niche one of 500 for 150-350+ a piece stuff.
Im guessing Hot Toys pays marvel a one time fee to make the toys for every x amount of toys made.
Earlier in the the year feminist went at DC for shirts said "Batman's wife" instead of having batgirl batwoman merch. They said they have no control over what licensees create so I assume Marvel is more or less the same.

There's really no info out there but that seems to be the case. I believe Hot Toys pays Marvel a licensing fee and then has to get another one from the actual actor to use their likeliness. It's why they've made Hicks from Aliens and Billy from Predator, but couldn't use Michael Biehn or Sonny Landham faces. Or why sometimes, they blur out the facial sculpts until they're approved.

You could say that about damn near every other hero though. Dude doesn't have a batcave to strategize in and all that. He pretty much responds to what happens on the fly.
Spiderman is the "uber" of super heroes though. Tbh.
He could be the Dark Knight of the marvel universe, but its not in his character. So he just picks up freelance hero gigs

In an interview with Empire Magazine, Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon seemingly confirmed rumors that he’s not sticking around for the third movie in the franchise. “I couldn’t imagine doing this again,” he said, saying that the process was “enormously hard,” and adding “I obviously still want to be part of the Marvel Universe—I love these guys—but it ain’t easy. This year it has been more like running three shows than any year of my life.” Also, in case that’s not enough hard evidence, he got more explicit: “it’s very doubtful that I would take on the two-part Infinity War movie that would eat up the next four years of my life.” Sorry, Whedon fans. Or is that good news, because it means he’ll get to make his own stuff again?
