WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

^ Lively has the look, but can't really act.

When you think about it, the actress has to be the total package. Tough decision by Marvel, but I'm sure they have a few potentials in line.

She transformed herself for the movie The Town so I'm sure this would be a walk in the park for her.

She wasn't that good in The Town at all

She's at best a love interest in a big blockbuster film

If were going solely off looks, I rather see Amber Heard anyways

From a slutty socialite in Gossip Girl to a thot in The Town to a rich girl in GL?

Let's be serious here. Marvel is not going to invest in a $100M+ film and hire a subpar actress.

Barring age and any other factor, Emily Blunt or Charlize Theron could work.

She was getting gutted by Quicksilver and Gambit.

The way is going with Marvel practically becoming its own genre and all these actors picking up superhero roles is hilarious when you think of them in other films, once again watching Wanted yesterday, Young Xavier knocked Starlord out...that's all i kept thinking

I wouldn't say they're making an ant-man movie just because they want to. It's been in development for a long time. It's going to have it's place in the MCU like Guardians. Based on the rumors, this will play somewhat of a big deal in the civil war saga. Also, Avengers is coming out, why try to pump Ant-Man up when this is coming out. Now if they don't attach a trailer to it, then that's a problem. Either way, I highly believe the film will be solid. It may not be Cap 2 good, but it'll be a good watch imo.
They're definitely making it cuz they want to now. They had the chance to straight up cancel it but they didn't.

The reason it was in development so long is cuz of Wright and him choosing to do other movies. The movie could've been made.

Of course now, they've put together something where it'll be meaningful to the MCU but of all the already made movies and announced ones this is the movie that was basically the little engine that could.

Word. I'm pretty sure it was one of the first projects in development, but then production was a mess. That guy was working on it - it got nowhere, then backed out - and then they had problems finding someone else on board or something to that affect. I'm pretty sure dude who finally got the job to direct Ant Man was like fourth choice

I'm pretty sure if everything had gone right, Antman would've been one of the first movies released.

It just didn't happen that way. In the end, it all worked out.
I don't particularly believe at all that the movie was in early development. Like pre-Avengers? Nah. This was a friendly thing between a guy running a small on the rise movie studio and a good director that at the time probably had a cool pitch. He gave him the okay to do it before Avengers but I highly doubt Ant-Man was factoring in to future plans.

Then Avengers hit and **** changed. Then Wright stalled for years and the MCU moved on without him and all of his ideas just didn't fit. I feel if he had let them know a year earlier with like a script what he envisioned for the movie Feige would've cancelled that but it just didn't work out that way and they were put in a position where they didn't have to cancel it and look bad. Change director and stow it after Avengers 2 so w/e the # it isn't going to hurt them.

That doesn't mean the movie will be bad. I'm just saying this is more of a lets make this movie happen thing due to how long it's been talked about than Ant-Man is a property we have to use.
Still campaigning for Blake Lively as Capt. Marvel
 Damn son.

Pot shots, arguments, and all that Spidey poster nonsense aside this is showing horrible taste right here. This can't be explained.

Swordfish had Storm, War Machine, and Wolverine all runnin wild with John Travolta. :nerd:

That's 3 in one film, finding one with 4 different in the same movie has to be pretty tough I'd think.....

I can think of three non Marvel films that has at least two Avengers.. Trying to think of one that has three but coming up blank
