WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Lol I keep watching the TV spot over and over again. I think Quicksilver is going to be popular, just based off of his one line. Cocky little ****

Midnight showings are great. There's something about watching a movie with a whole room of people just as excited to see the movie as you are. The right crowd can make a mediocre movie enjoyable.

Avengers was a great movie, so watching the first movie at midnight was fun as hell

Its not like you are talking.

I prefer being one of like 17 people in a huge theatre a few weeks later.

Depends on the movie.

I prefer enjoying these movies with a full crowd.

Paranormal Activity is a different story.

^^Idk man, it's not about talking - maybe it's just me but when everyone is just as excited, you can pick up on a charge in the room

It's pretty rare though. Most time moviegoers are chill and laid back but opening night crowds for anticipated movies seem to be a different beast.

Depends on the crowd

Watching Django in the hood with a bunch of my fellow black folks (Newport news Va) was :pimp: errrybody had a good old time

Then I watched Django in a theatre with a bunch of old white folks (Charlottesville VA ) and I was the only one laughing in the theatre

Very true. I definitely think the crowd you're watching it with has to be similar to you.

This I can agree with. Definitely been in situations where I was the only one who got the black joke. Awkward but I dont trip

Ayy Charlottesville :pimp:
I'm a white dude but I got all the black jokes since I'm the token white guy in my group of friends. Quentin Tarantino da gawd.

That's what I do. No long lines to get in and so many seats to choose from. I hate sitting in a packed theater with people sitting on both sides of me.

I have nothing against midnight showings. I used to do them frequently. I just have to be up at 630 for work so not the best idea. And it's not like the Friday 730PM IMAX isn't gonna be the same way given almost all the good seats are gone over a month out

With reserved seats that are roomy and comfortable you take away the line aspect and the negative crowd aspect but still get the positive energy/excitement from a full house hype for the movie

Still gets hot and sweaty regardless of the reserved seats.

You sit down, you watch the movie, you leave. We ther other people around me are as excited for the movie as I am does nothing to or for me.

The imax theater I go to doesn't have reserved seating or those big, leather reclining seats. There's another theater that has those things but it's packed every weekend and I hate big crowds in general. Will probably try to watch on a weeknight.

Over the past year, I've noticed the midnight crowd is better than the first showing crowd, ie. thursday night at 7 or 10.

The only issue with the 7 pm crowds is that you get the 13 year old kids. Sometimes these creatures don't know how to act.

Ehh I guess it depends on the theater. The theater I usually go to doesn't feel hot even when packed. I'm usually bringing a sweatshirt to the movies cuz of the AC
