WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

If Fox owns Kang I don't see how they don't own Molecule Man.

But yeah he's too much of a beast. The MCU might as well go the crazy Scarlet Witch chaos magic/destiny force reality warper route cuz that's basically Franklin Richards and Legion territory.

I'm just in here hoping IW2 is going to deliver on everything Marvel been working on since 08. 12 yrs is a long time to build up to something.

I wonder if the people who make all that concept art and find out that it doesn't get used get mad.

I mean they go in expecting that most of the concept art will not make it into the film, they just serve as comparisons.

But Im sure there are sometimes that they are disappointed that the director chose one piece over the other. You dont even have to be an artist to think that. Imo there are some character they couldve made better choices with. Still did more good choices than bad imo.

dude flips page by page in art book for those interested.

With the Russos, I have nothing but faith. I'd be worried a bit under Whedon.

For me, it's the other way around, for now. Cap 2 is a great film, yes. I have that behind only the Avengers films, but we don't know yet if the Russos are able to pull off a film with a billion characters to juggle.

Cap 2 was basically Cap and Black Widow to juggle, with a little bit of Falcon mixed in. Winter Soldier was the villain in the title and he didn't get any character development at all.

Not saying that the Russos can't pull off a film with Avengers level difficulty. Just saying as of now they are still unproven even though Cap 2 was a success. If CW is a good film, then that puts me at ease because that's basically an Avengers film.

I know you are probably alluding to the fact that Whedon had seemed a little unhinged towards the end of his Marvel run. Ehh, talented ppl go a little mad sometimes

Did you just put Juggernaut in the same list as Magneto, Apocalypse, and Sinister? :x

Anyway I agree with you. Been saying how bad the x-men movies were since X1

Thank you finally someone agrees, Every single X-Men film has been hot garbage, I don't see why people defend it so much saying DOFP was alright or dope, X-Men 2 was decent.

Garbage movie, every single one of them.

Doom or the Skrulls would be dope in the Marvel Universe for phase 4, but we will never see that.

No skrulls......tired of seeing clones of bad guys.

I know they can shape shift but I aint trying to see a large gang of aliens flying around....after I just saw a gang of robots flying around.....after I just saw a gang of biomechanical aliens fly around

Please do something else something crazy...something risky

Most of those characters won't have that much of an impact on the film I'm betting. And nah, I've said plenty times before that I've had problems with A1. I have some with AOU as well. I didn't have any problems with Cap2.

Yeah, I think everyone is done with seeing them fight hoardes and hoardes of beta henchmen.

It got really lame when in AoU they fought hordes of supposedly deadly robots with no trouble whatsoever and then the only bit of actual tension in the movie comes from Ultron flying a fighter jet

You can't in one statement say they're all garbage and then say X2 was decent.

You talking about CW? That would be an egregious use of a large, ensemble cast, don't you think?

That's exactly what I'd want to avoid, my dude

Can't always expect these characters to have large roles. They're probably all going to be around discussing the legislation from the aftermath of what Crossbones gonna do. I imagine it's going to be similar to the party scene in AOU.

Can't always expect these characters to have large roles.

But it's Civil War. It affects everyone. The last thing I'd want is for it de-volve into just Cap vs Iron Man and the rest of them feel like supporting characters.

It would be taking away from one of the things I feel separates the Avengers from XMen.

DoFP was a good movie but I felt like it was Wolverine, X, Magneto, and Mystique. With Quicksilver as an honorable mention. Everybody else was not very memorable.

And it doesn't even mean everyone has to have a large role, but I'd like for everyone to feel memorable. Otherwise it's like throwing a character in there for the sake of it, like Falcon in AoU

I'm pretty sure he meant other people referring to those as decent.
Read weird to me.

My bad if that's what he meant

Does it really?

IW is the end goal here. Movie wise CW is gonna just be a big bump in the role and if it isn't resolved it'll be patched up by IW pt 2.

I don't think you gotta worry at all about CW being anything like DoFP.

That's a comic. This the movie. Don't expect this to have the same impact. There was nothing wrong with Falcon in AOU. Simply a cameo. Nothing wrong with that.

But that's my point. I don't want to take a large cast and have most of them, or a lot of them feel like cameos. That's where I was getting at when I said it'd be a waste of a large cast.

I'm not saying I expect the impact to mirror exactly like the comic. We don't have nearly the same amount of characters in the movie for that.

Just saying, whoever's in CW, I'd just like them to be used well, instead of just being there to be there or having a drastically minimized role.

I hope gunn is heavily involved in the infinity wars movies.. Been watching cap2 and GOTG quite a bit lately with both being on cable now

Gotg is up there on that top tier for me, with: avengers and ironman1

Like those are the movies I'll point to when I think of what comic book movies should be.. Still fun and makes me believe those characters are coming to life off of the pages of the comic book or the cartoons

Aou and cap 2, are just below those movies to me

In an ideal world, Gunn and Whedon and the Russos could put egos and money aside and work together for the IW movies, given the expected scale of it and the large cast.

They all have their different strengths.

Whedon, the script, with Gunn and the Russos being able to vote out scenes if it becomes too Whedon-y

Gunn, cgi, visuals, along that realm

Russos, choreography and the major action pieces.

That would be awesome. Obviously, not an ideal world and not a realistic scenario.

Just speaking out my dreams lol
