Hmmm... He did just tweet that NO AVENGERS appear in GOTG2 so you might be on to something... maybe.

Officially, 3: Iron Man, Vision, and War Machine (Who is injured, but I expect to be just fine by the next time he has to suit up)

Unofficially there's 1 more: Spider-Man

Technically there's also Thor, who didn't quit the team, but left to take care of personal business in Asgard (Which is the same thing he did at the end of the first film in fact). Bruce might fall into the same category, as he'd be accepted back i'm sure, but he was definitely just plain leaving the team at the end of Age of Ultron.
 
No doubt in my mind Bae Larson is gonna kill this role. Watch Short Term 12 and Room for all you non-believers.

This just got me more curious about who Tony recruits for his team and thus obviously how many more heroes they'll introduce. I know it won't be a lot but knowing Captain Marvel is obviously gonna be somebody that's a candidate, filling out IM's Avengers with 1 or 2 more ppl could address a few more things.

I don't think Thor or Hulk will be back on Earth [emoji]127758[/emoji] to be on that team for obvious reasons and there's the chance CM doesn't have her powers by then. I also ain't sure Tony puts Spidey on the team officially yet but we'll know for sure when his movie comes out. Not to mention Black Widow is still an up in the air question. Netflix heroes seem doubtful.

Russo's made it clear they ended CW like that on purpose and this status quo will obviously still be in place for the start of IW.

I wonder if Tony can pull off recruiting Strange. Would be cool if they sprang a Black Knight, Sersi, Swords(wo)man, or Wonder Man on the team. I can also see Ross forcing one appointed member on the team so that leaves it open for a U.S. Agent type.
 
The more I learn about Brie Larson, the more I really want her to be Captain Marvel. They better not be jerking us now lol
