WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

i was reading that  Universal Pictures still   own distribution rights to The Incredible Hulk maybe that why no hulk solo yet ....   ''This leads to the issue of The Incredible Hulk  film. After Universal's 2003 Hulk movie, they decided to make a deal with Marvel to give them the movie rights back but Universal wanted to maintain the distribution rights for the green rage monster. This is where things get murky according to the IP lawyer. Disney can make any Hulk movie they want since Marvel has the movie rights but Universal will continue to distribute all Hulk films and the IP lawyer seems to think that Disney does not want to "share the profits" for any of their owned properties.''

Disney needs to just say **** it and buy everyone out... Create the ultimate Marvel Universe where everything has continuity...

How much would it take to buy SM?

Forbes said 3billion after ASM 1. Which seems right considering the movie does $700M each.

But spend 3Bill on ONE franchise when when they just spent 4Billion on Marvel and 4 Billion on Lucasfilm? That would be a MAJOR L for Disney. Lucasfilm and Marvel wil make Disney billions a year..... EACH. They aint spending 3Bill to make $700M every 3 or so years when they already have the rights to the cartoon and merch.

700M for one character is awesome. Considering he wasn't even done correct.

Now throw him with ANY Avenger... I don't think yall realize how much Spidey is loved.

they wont make that much more money from putting sm in an avengers film

every spiderman fan in the world is watching every avengers movie with or without spiderman, it makes no financial sense for them to blow money on spiderman

Don't tell lamekilla this. He is convinced spidey would TRIPLE the revenue of the Avengers

Yes 700 mil for one character is awesome, but not when you've paid 3 billion for him

You got to also consider that 700 mil would be the money made, not the profit. You got to think that 200 is going to advertising/production, you got to pay the theaters showing the movies, other expenses, etc.

You gotta consider the movie would only be made once every 3 years under Marvel. Would likely just be a trilogy with all the characters they have and then he would be relegated to Avengers only. You also gotta consider Marvel and Lucasfilm sell a lot of merch wich was a juicy part of the deal. Marvel already has the rights to the merch for Spidey.

i  had the of choosing between spider-man and x-men  to get back into marvel cinematic universe  i would say x-men

Which Superhero Earns $1.3 Billion a Year?

On Oct. 15, Warners CEO Kevin Tsujihara said that if he can close the current gap by half, the studio could earn an additional $150 million a year in profits. How big is the gap? In May, License Global placed Disney first among licensors with sales of about $41 billion in 2013; Warners was seventh with $6 billion. Both have strong properties: The Licensing Letter listed Marvel's Spider-Man global retail sales at $1.3 billion and Avengers at $325 million in 2013, compared with DC's Batman at $494 million and Superman at $277 million.

That is why Marvel/Disney traded in all their film rights to Sony in exchange for merchandising rights.
