Fox is closing a deal with Ryan Reynolds for a feature film on Deadpool, the character he played in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.rr
Reynolds himself has teased this on Twitter with a tweet that reads, "Uh... It's Chimichanga Time."
In 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Reynolds played Wade "Deadpool" Wilson as a smart-mouthed mercenary who undergoes military experiments that give him the ability to heal quickly, but in turn leave him severely scarred.
The film, which Fox is making in conjunction with Marvel Studios, will be directed by Tim Miller. The script is by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and Lauren Shuler Donner is producing. Production begins in March, and the film has a tentative release date of February 2016.

Cumberbatch :pimp: Not my first choice but far from a bad choice. If anything I'll get out of this as a fan of Benedict, this will be him rising to A-list prominence in America :smokin He's been doing a lot of good movies that display his skill and talent but now I think he'll be having a lot of star power behind future roles.

Wasn't it Reynold's voice in that Deadpool short that was out a few months ago?

It's been pretty much a lock for RR to be DP despite his recent failings in cbm's.
 
I wonder if they will retcon Deadpool into a motor mouth for the new continuity.

I wanted Teresa Palmer for Jones but the more I'm reading the Jessica Jones is supposed to be sarcastic, cynical and jaded I can see why they casted Ritter.

That seems perfect for her.

The rumor of Mike Colter doing the scenes with Ritter and Palmer and him being their choice as Luke Cage is great. Hope it comes true. Really grew to like him for the role ever since a NTer suggested him and I realized he's the menacing drug kingpin from The Good Wife :pimp:
