WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Miles Teller would be a huge step down from Andrew Garfield.

garfield was a huge step down from Tobey.
You won't get much of an argument from me about that but with that in mind lets not start scrapping the bottom of the barrel with Miles.

I doubt it'll happen but the best idea I've heard so far is Jake as an older Spidey. Doesn't matter that he's in his 30s. He can pull off a Peter Parker in his mid to late 20s.
Miles Teller would be a huge step down from Andrew Garfield.
Yes he would.

Garfield's Spider-Man captured Peter Parker's personality (sacrastic, whitty, etc.) Maguire captured how Peter Parker looked in the OG comic book. But liked them both. Hopefully one of the Infinity Stones enables Spider-Man earth to join MCU earth, which would allow Spidey to join the mix.
The way I've seen it is Garfield captured Spidey and Maguire captured Peter.

The whole thing with Garfield and the writing for his 2 movies is that they seemed to miss that Peter Parker and Spider-Man was sort of the Clark Kent and Superman contrast. Pete's the shy reserved introverted type while Spidey is the extroverted wise cracking laugh at yourself type.

It's Benedict. He does no wrong. He's close to surpassing Leo.
This is so false on so many levels.

Love me some Cumberbatch but yall dudes are setting him up for major fail. Straight up blowing hot smoke up his ***.

At the very least I hope I don't end up having to put Benedict Cumberbatch stans on my **** list too.

I'm here!

Well well, what do we have here. Of course, the inevitable. Marvel playing their trump card close to their chest with their biggest superhero appearing in their finale.

My "I told you so's" are still baking in the oven so I won't pull them out yet >D but I'm rather curious as to if marvel really has the balls to kill off Steve Rodgers. Granted if they're following source material than cap should die due to the civil war aftermath but why the **** can't spiderman be included in civil war?? I mean how are you really telling that story without him...unless Marvel has more tricks up their sleeve, which I think they do as it pertains to spiderman. If Sony is still doing ASM 3 in 2018 then we'll have Garfield as spiderman in infinity wars. If not, then by the time we do see spiderman it would've been 4 years without him on the big screen. Neither studio would let that happen especially when merchandising rights are bringing in HUGE money. Sony and Marvel are up to something epic and I personally think it'll come to fruition in Civil War, Garfield and all.

But let's take a break from spiderman for a second...Latino Review has reinvigorated the rumor of hulk being shot into outer space. Marvel doing civil war is something they know won't make any sense if they don't stay close to the source material. But Planet Hulk/WWH wasn't included in the phase 3 movie schedule...yet. Curious to know the details of Ruffalo's contract. Pretty sure he's contracted for way more than 3-4 films. He's fulfilled 2 films and A3 pt1 and pt2 are 3 and 4 years into the future after our more obscure less average movie goer friendly films such as antman, panther and Danvers the motion picture. Hulk has to have an arc in between phase 2 and 3. Especially with all the marketing for A2 showing the Hulkbuster/Hulk fight. Hulk's story is going to be interesting and I'm pretty sure that Tony Stark is the bad guy during this hulk/Hulkbuster fight and not banner. Maybe banner finds out about talks stark is having with the government about him and how he is a threat to the planet.....eh what do I know
QueasyFortunateCutworm.gif

Tsk tsk at Sony trolling. Their poker face with spiderman joining the MCU got carved up by N. Korea but like I said my "I told you so's" are still baking in the oven. What is being overlooked is the fact that Marvel and Sony will still work together, Sony still needs money, and Marvel still wants the web slinger. This is inevitable.

And Latino review >>>>> Comic book resources

Why won't they let me cook ksteezy ksteezy :frown:

Latino review been known for their unreliability. Check up on these sites reputations. Makes no sense comparing them to cbr when cbr aint even reporting rumors. They got an actual response from a rep at SONY.

I don't even know how you can still run with this when the last hacked e-mail said the deal fell through.

SONY DENIES SPIDER-MAN/"AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR" RUMOR

The idea of Sony-controlled Spider-Man appearing in Marvel Studios' upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War" generated a lot of talk after Latino Review posted it as an unconfirmed rumor earlier today. But don't get too excited: When reached by CBR News, a Sony Pictures representative dismissed the report, calling it an "old rumor" with "no validity whatsoever."

Lol. Someone should post all the stupid civil war memes. The first one made me laugh

Someone change the meme from 'so iggy does a good freestyle' to 'so I hear Spidey is the newest Avenger' rotf

If Marvel gets the spider-man, I'd kill for a Spider-verse movie just so we can have Garfield, Tobey and everyone's favorite actor playing a version of Spider-Man. **** would be epic and they could end it with the unveiling of their new Spider-Man for their universe.

Bruh just realized the fox animated Spider-Man is the inspiration for Spider-verse...

I just realized Spidey is like the LeBron James or Kobe of the comic book thread.

Anyone who goes to the NBA thread on the regular would know what I'm taking about. Just mentioning those names make the thread more active than normal.

Interesting about all the Benedict love.

I don't dislike him, but, I've seen him in Sherlock, seen him in Star Trek.. I don't see what it is about him that will translate to that RDJ or even Chris Pratt factor where he'll have that broad range appeal

I think he'll be a great Dr Strange, but I don't think that character is going to be a fan favorite.

Depends if people think Doctor Strange is cool onscreen. RDJ and Pratt play characters who have humor so that works for them.

A lot of people on the internet think the woman behind thor in the last trailer is Amora. Don't see how Enchantress could be cast without anyone knowing tho.

I hate how leaked information is so public.  The rumors for SM possibly in the next avengers ruins it for me.  I'd love for this to happen, but now throughout the movie, I'll be sitting there expecting SM to show up.  Whether he does or doesn't, the :wow: is gone.

You're lying to yourself, prior knowledge or not, if the web slinger flew in to save Scarlet Witch or Black Widow, you'd still mark out and be overwhelmed with pure joy

Know it about to happen isn't the same as a straight up surprise.  Like watching a a good movie with crazy twists at the end for the first time.  The first time i saw The Departed, my jaw dropped at the ending.  The first time I saw Butterfly Effect, so many :wow: moments.  Fight Club ending, watching it the second time, you're watching a different movie because you're trying to pick out how they could be the same person.

I know its not the same as knowing the dialogue or actually rewatching a movie, but its lost some of its surprise.

So i've stopped following sites on twitter that would repost any leaked info.  But even then i doubt one could not escape the glory of the internet.

If they are able to keep everything under wraps and Spidey cameo is a complete surprise That would legit be the most epic movie scene ever....Just imagine the vibe in that theater when my dude comes out of nowhere...goes to show, as cool as the MCU has made IronMan and regardless of how much Sony has fumbled the Spidey character, Spider-Man remains as the GOAT....dude is impossible to dislike :pimp:

You remember a while ago when that rumor came that Spidey was going back to Marvel? Well it seems Sony really wants to prove that previously reported rumor wrong.

There was a rumor floating around yesterday that Spider-man has come back home to Marvel, however when Sony was asked to comment they said it was a silly rumor. They seem to want to really prove that cause today they posted this on their official Portuguese facebook page.

Now of course if you know your Portuguese (which i don't but thanks to the user DrunkenNukem and FirstAvenger we know what it says) it roughly translates out too "We have plans for you". And the post written with this picture is Muitos planos... #HomemAranha. Which translates out to Many plans... #Spiderman .

And in case this isn't believed i have screencapped from the offical facebook page as well. Just to confirm its there.

lol. Like I said those rumors were not believable.

Amazing vs Spidey  You'd have to be on crack to believe that ****. You'd have to be dumb enough to smoke LSD and inject crystal meth to believe that ****.

Sony doesn't have the balls to pull off a sin 6 movie, not now. How are they planning to tell this story when they've shown they're not confident in the ASM series?

Netflix has updated their queue with information for the Marvel series: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Defenders.

It's basically just general information and a placeholder, but it is stated that Jessica Jones will be released some time this year.

Charlie Cox is playing Daredevil, Krysten Ritter is playing Jessica Jones and Mike Colter is playing Luke Cage. Iron Fist has yet to be announced.

If anything, it is at least pretty cool to see the series listed.

Daredevil: "Marvel's Daredevil" is a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock, who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night. Coming April 10

A.K.A. Jessica Jones: Working as a private investigator in New York's Hell's Kitchen, a troubled ex-superhero's past comes back to haunt her in the live-action series, "Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones." Coming 2015

Luke Cage: In this Marvel live-action series, a street-fighting ex-con battles crime in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen as the superhero Luke Cage. Coming soon

Iron Fist: "Marvel’s Iron Fist" follows superhero and martial arts master Danny Rand in the upcoming live-action series. Coming soon

The Defenders: "Marvel's The Defenders" brings together Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage in an epic superhero team-up in New York City. Coming soon

I imagine Luke & Iron Fist debut next year, and the Defenders the following year befroe Thanos starts wrecking havoc.

Hopefully it moves fast like that.

There were some rumblings that Jessica Jones might come out in 2016 instead and that 2015 year is just a temporary placeholder. I have a feeling Marvel might time it with a movie event as well. Like they are releasing Daredevil in April to indicate/imply the events that happens there is before the events of AoU that come sout May 1st?

Just a guess but wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.
