WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Some people are saying that the ring in Agent Carter that Dr. Faustus used is one of the rings of The Mandarin. One of his rings can get inside your head and cause you to see illusions.

I wonder how they'll explain the rings powers. The whole Mandarin got them from a dying alien ain't gon cut it.

Never said but the ring is called The Liar and is worn on the same finger as in the comics

The last host of this ring was given these powers according to Marvel Wikia

Mento-Intensifier Ring: This ring magnifies Kumar's psionic energies, allowing him to mentally manipulate the thoughts and actions of others.

Mental Illusions: The Liar may psionically generate illusions within the minds of others. These illusions are very realistic and are capable of affecting all of the senses (vision, hearing, taste, touch and smell).

Mental Paralysis: Marc may psionically manipulate the minds of others, temporarily paralyzing them.

Teleportation: Additionally, his ring enables the Liar to teleport. Its teleportation range is unknown, but it can even allow its bearer to travel even through realms.

I wonder if the sequel can beat Avengers 1 200 mil opening weekend..

That is a ton of money. Maybe 200 is the ceiling?

I think it can break the original's record for total gross. Lol, it's biggest competitor all of May seems to be pitch perfect 2

I'm not seeing the Faustus gimmick with the ring being a Mandarin ring but it is a lazy way to connect things. The ten rings should be a bit more noticeable than the one dude had in the ep.

Not to mention it doesn't need all that talk for you to mess with someone's mind.

200 mil is the basement.

I feel it'll definitely take the title for most grossed in a weekend.

It's going to beat the original's opening weekend, I don't have a doubt about it.

I just became a fan of Hiddleston

Flow wasn't the best (due to lack of beat) but that son even knows the words to Will Smith's Miami of all rap songs out there

Avengers is 3rd all time at 1.5 billion.

I think this will do 2.2 billion and barely pass titanic for 2nd all time.

Avatar is number 1 at 2.8 billion.

200 mil is the floor not the ceiling

1.8 billion dollar run for sure.

From a "reddit leaker"....

So Dylan O'Brien is pretty much our new Spidey from the look of things. A source tells me he gave Sony the audition of his life, who by the way, absolutely loved what they saw from him. Amy Pascal and team knew they had their Spider-Man.

Sony apparently started leaning towards O'Brien over Lerman when they figured Dylan had a better grasp and feel of the tone they were going for.

Mind you, anything could happen from now until the official announcement, which if not on March 5th, (unlikely) then somewhere in mid-March to early-April.

But nonetheless, there is a tremendously high chance, like a 99.9% percent chance, this will end up becoming official. There's more info down below in the comments, see if you please.

UPDATE: It is official, Dylan has signed on as the new webhead!

If true, is it too late to sneak him in for a post credit scene for AoU?

I don't think they can get it in with him proper, it's too late in development. They might be able to do some kinda CGI tease of Spidey or a really low key nod with webbing or something.

I am sure they can still film an end credit scene if they really wanted to but any major scene is probably too late.

Either Logan Lerman or Dylan O'Brien is perfect, so glad they got one of the two.

I wasn't totally convinced he could play the nerdy side to Peter until someone pointed out to me he was that nerd in The Internship.
