WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Game of Thrones Inhumans has me intrigued.

Captain Marvel, Inhumans, Dr. Strange are all 10000x more interesting movies to me than Infinity War and even the new Spider-Man

Something tells me that by 2020 Civil War will be one of the more forgettable Marvel flicks
Forgettable? You crazy.

Inhumans is still a go but has been de-prioritized and iron Fist in trouble?

NYCC ’15: The Marvel Film/TV Rumours Get More Complex – Inhumans, Iron Fist And The Staffers

One rather reliable source connected to Marvel told me that the Inhumans movie was only announced at CEO Isaac Perlmutter‘s insistence, if movie boss Kevin Feige was allowed to announce Feige’s own pet projects, Captain Marvel and Black Panther. And that is behind the now autonomous Feige’s decision to drop it.

Or more accurately, I am told, de-prioritise it. Let it fall down the soldiers until, eventually, it’s said that they could never find the right people for it.

I was also told to expect the upcoming Iron Fist project through Netflix to be hit by Marvel Studios interference – they still do have a say and a signoff into how the show appear and the word is the show may be killed with such procedural notes.

I was also told to keep an eye on around fifty staffers in the west coast Marvel Studios who are affiliated with Isaac Perlmutter and Marvel East in some way, who are currently sitting around filling time doing very little…

Hammers may fall. That billion dollars has got to come from somewhere.

I really don't think people are going to forget the film that Spiderman makes his MCU debut

Bump Spider-Man* until his solo movie comes out

Main reason I stopped posting these are cuz Rich seems to be reaching with all of these rumors.

Son completely backtracked hard on this.

I notice that's his thing with the wilder dumb rumors or the little reasons for it and details. When something doesn't come true he says it's cuz he broke the story first and the fan outrage forced whoever to take it back.

His reasoning for Inhumans being canceled was this war with Fiege and Perlmutter and his support for it was that the Inhumans release date did not change while Cap and BP did. That reasoning makes no sense.

Now he's gone from canceled to de-prioritized. We're talking about a movie coming out when again? 2018? First movie after Infinity War is done? But the Cap movie pushed to 2019 is suppose to be what Feige is really pushing for? Ignoring all of the comments he's made about Inhumans before they popped up on AoS.

Imma wait to he starts making more sense or switches to some other rumor mongering. He tends to be in the area when he sticks to comics rumors. I'm beginning to think he has no movie connects. They wouldn't talk to a guy like him.

Iron Fist been in trouble for a while now but not for the reasons he's listing.

What's been reported for the last year or so is they're having issues breaking the story and having it fit into the Netflix world they're creating. I've also seen stuff about budgetary concerns

All this drama just seems manufactured.

Yeah, IF is not street level in a basic way. Son is mystical Batman in some ways. Billionaire or multimillionaire guy who had his martial arts training in a mystical land where he gained some special chi powers.

Now his enemies are mostly ninjas and some other powered fighters but if they want to do it right it'd be like a show where Goku is fighting the cast of Mortal Kombat. Writing can get the tone right to make it match the other 3 shows but IF's stuff is just really out there.

Then he just happens to meet Luke, become friends and team-up a lot, and form Heroes 4 Hire.

I assume the way to go is downplay his origin a lot. Sort of how they didn't lead with DD's origin. Reference it in flashbacks, decide how they'll depict the iron fist and when Danny uses it; will it look like the aura from the Last Dragon? or are they gonna go hard and use that budget for cgi efx. Once they iron out all that I think they can manage Danny running Rand industries by day and all the cool fighting he does when he aint working.

It's definitely a go. I don't doubt that. It's just that it might end up being last place when it comes to the quality of all 4 shows. He might end up being downplayed in Defenders.

Crazy as it is, it almost seems like Jessica Jones and Luke Cage are going to be hits. Not even from a Marvel printing money standpoint but from netflix not really ponying up money for trash original shows.

I always pictured them doing the Iron Fist show similar to the old show from back in the day "Kung Fu" or "Kung Fu: The legend continues"

Danny's story isn't easy to tell and it takes Marvel out of that realm of "realism" they try to go for but that's why the Dr. Strange film was suppose to be so important to break open the mystical side of Marvel. The thing is we've barely been getting news on strange though.

I'm looking forward to seeing K'un Lun Marvel! You showed the Steel Serpant symbol in Daredevil Marvel! I want Sanaa Lathan as Misty Knight MARVEL!!!!! Don't make me angry....

The only realism Marvel is going for is with these street level netflix shows.

The first Cap movie had a cosmic cube, Thor is Thor. Marvel never had a problem with the cosmic fantasy stuff and what goes on in Thor isn't that different than "mysticism" or w/e the magic is gonna be for Strange. I know the genre is supernatural horror but overall I doubt the audience is going to find it hard to buy in to.

If Iron Fist was a movie they'd have no problem selling it. The problem is selling this one guy with a heavy mystical origin that is teamed up with 3 straight up street level heroes. Yeah 2 of them have super powers but nothing that's more than what Cap does.

Misty Knight has already been cast for the Luke Cage netflix series.

He might not get his own show, I don't know but I highly doubt he doesn't appear in Luke Cage. Seen some LR writers drop hints on twitter

Idk if I would go that far. JJ is pretty much supergirl and Cage sounds pretty powerful in his own right. Cap is just a super enhanced soldier with battle strategy. Cap is just more influential and maximizes his gifts more.

I'm talking about how they'll be depicted.

You watch AOU and Cap is taking out the Ultron bots no differently than Thor (yeah that might have more to do with depowering Thor but that's how it's been for a while now).

Cage has the super strength and indestructible body. That's not all that flashy. JJ's power is more Supergirl lite imo. I'd say be prepared to be underwhelmed if you're expecting to see her showcase all of those powers like an ep of Smallville on this show.

I thought cap was just a super strong/fast regular dude until he jumped off his bike and did like 3 backflips while taking down a quinjet in WS

i do like how they show how he's not just a super dude but he actually works hard to train and get better

In regular comics continuity, he's just a regular strong guy. The serum gave him Olympic athlete level abilities but he wasn't superhuman. Basically Batman level abilities.

The Ultimate Comics continuity said **** that and gave him at least Spider-Man level super strength.

The movies, as has been the case for pretty much every other character, clearly took cues from the Ultimate Comics because "peak human" Cap might be a bit too boring for film

Zik, you do make a point about how there didn't seem to be much of a difference between how Cap was taking out the Ultrons and how Thor was taking them out. Thor should be able to take out twenty in a sec lol

Cap is just that dude though

He will have no problem at all taking on IM
WS is my favorite marvel movie but im not sure how the physics of his shield work when he used it to block the force of a 30 story fall

NYCC 2015: BRYAN CRANSTON REVEALS THE MARVEL VILLAIN HE WANTS TO PLAY

Remember how Bryan Cranston recently said he'd like to play a "nasty" Marvel villain? He just revealed who he has in mind.

During a panel for his new show SuperMansion at New York Comic-Con - moderated by IGN's Eric Goldman - Cranston revealed he'd like to play Mr. Sinister.

"What do you think?" he asked the crowd, which preceded to go wild.
