People complained about the Cap statue in prospect park :lol:

Apparently it's only staying there temporarily then moving to Barclays center then to a bed, bath, and beyond :lol:

Its only for the 75th anniversary tour and I guess ending up in a crate by the end of the year.

It's like with fox and xmen, they have fassbender, Oscar Isaac and mcavoy.. They would have had or should have had a review of what worked and didn't work with their movies previously and focused on what worked

And end up piling on more crap

You tell me a movie is coming out in 2016 with those 3 in it and you can have my money right now.. As soon as you tell me it's a singer led xmen, then I'm out

Agree. Everything they put out appeared rushed. That SS intro/editing bothers me too much for some reason. I didn't even have high expectations for that film :lol:

CAPTAIN MARVEL Writer Says Origin Story Will Be Changed Due To GREEN LANTERN Similarities

Captain Marvel screenwriter Nicole Perlman was on the Any Time With Vin Forte Podcast and discussed her time in Marvel's Writers Program and current work developing Carol Danvers' MCU

"I don’t think I’ve ever had a project where I’ve been more mindful about the impact that it could have and the importance of it. She’s such an incredibly kick-*** character and Kelly Sue DeConnick did a great run with her story arc recently. But here’s the thing, if you were just going to do a straight adaptation of the comics, her origin story is very similar to Green Lantern. And obviously, that’s not what we want to do. There’s a lot of reinvention that needs to happen. And also, she’s her own person and she’s a great character. We have to be aware of what’s happened in other Marvel film and makes sure that her particular storyline is unique and fun and also fits in within this world that’s going on at the same time. It’s a little bit of an interesting story gauntlet. It’s been good to have a partner. It’s been an incredible experience. If we can pull it off it could be an incredibly important but also really fun and kick-*** superhero film.”

I don't mind but I disagree it's like Green Lantern.

There were no special captain Marvel powers passed to Carol.

She got the powers by accident during some extended fight with the bad guy and Mar-Vell. Then years later he died of cancer. The powers she got aren't even similar to Mar-Vell's. The mission he was on is obviously not the reason why she's a superhero.

I dunno maybe cuz the GL origin is very clear to me I don't see it. Aint like dude came to earth dying of cancer sent his powers to go find a new host and she became a part of a galactic peace keeping force.

I just hope the origin is really good if its gonna be new.

I had to Google the name, but recognized him instantly. This is the brother with the gap who used to be in every movie and every TV show for a while.

I'd love to see the Shocker who wants to retire from the villain game and has Spider-man PTSD. :lol: It'd be dope to see a Deadly/Lethal/Superior Foes of Spider-man type of scene with a bunch of C level Spidey villains plotting to work together only to get foiled easily. :lol: :pimp:
