Caught a bit of the leak before I watch it this weekend, and man, we've gotten to a point where we've taken the sheer scale and detail of movies like this for granted. Smh at the "eh" reviews.

I think with the Russos directing the next "movie" it will be a bit darker. I kinda like the lighter fluffier style because it separates them from DC. Also dark doesn't work for everyone.

The Russos' will also have better action. I'm getting a bit tired of the heavy cgi. They need to mix it up with practical and cgi. That's a small part of what made Cap2 great.

Cap 2 actually had a pretty high VFX count

As far as the mcu goes, when it comes to VFX count, it's A2>Cap 2>A1

VFX doesnt mean heavy cgi though

for cap 2 a lot of stunts were done with a soft foam shield so that no one would get hurt, in post they edit just the shield to make it seem solid

so a scene with a shield change counts the same as a scene in aoe where ironman is fighting ultron in the air which is actually 100% cgi

cant complain though, the cgi in this movie was top notch

Just got back from seeing it again. This time with my coworkers. Had to sit there and listen to him complain about the Quicksilver (fox) vs Quicksilver (marvel). "I bet the other quicksilver could have dodged those bullets, why wasn't this one as fast as the other one" So annoying.

Anyways, movie was aiiiiiiiiiiite.  Basically a filler, lazy, knew people was gonna come either way movie.

Eh it was my second viewing. I got to see it by myself on my first viewing so I got to enjoy the movie. And don't worry, we had the discussion in the car. It boiled down to me saying that the Marvel QS is inexperienced and just getting his powers (maybe had them for a few months) whereas the Fox QS probably had them for years by time we go to him. Plus aircraft guns fire faster than handguns.

You people who are complianing about how the banner and widow love came out the blue, need to go watch A1 again.

The scene where widow went to recruit hulk had a little part where he was rocking a baby crib and said "I can't have certain things" and she said the same thing back to him.

Love is a theme in pretty much ALL movies, in A1 and Cap2 there were no real love story lines, which is a rare exception. However, I feel this one with hulk and widow was well crafted given that they both have these painful realization that they absolutely cannot find love.

Iron man, hawkeye, Thor, and even cap can have a family if they choose. Hulk and widow ABSOLUTELY CANNOT conceive children. Hulk even said in the movie "think about it it's physically impossible for me to have a child" meaning that there is no way he can't have sex. I don't want to hear any of you people saying that this was a useless love story, you people are out of your mind.

Also for you people who don't get the irony in QS death, he basically TROLLED ALL OF US when he died and said "you didn't see that coming"

1 - because no want expected him to die
2 - because QS in xmen the only thing he did was dodge bullets, while QS marvel could do everything except dodge bullets

I have watched the movie 3 times already and i amazed at the sheer amount of things jammed back in this movie.

The person @cp1708 said at the lowest scale he gave the movie a 7.7. A 7.7!!!!! This is the movie we all been waiting for and you are letting the pettiest of things bring down this juggernaut of a movie.

Also a lot of people are complaining this isn't as good as Cap2. I agree that Cap2 is solid 9.0 in both regular movie sense and comic book movie sense, I can see how a normal non comic back movie fan like cap2 over a2 however it absolutely isn't a better comic book movie than this one.

I felt the theater from cap2 saying this was a GREAT movie, but it didn't give that comic book feel. That movie could have won a Oscar for best picture of the year because it can appeal to anyone

avengers 2 is a movie for people who are in this thread, because we all know that the MCU is like a life altering thing that is going on. This movie justified me watching all 10 movies before and I left that theater feeling full filed as a comic book movie lover.

I suggest you people watch this movie again, even if it's just an online link before dropping in your input in here. You people are spoiled as hell and sound like a movie critic who doesn't understand the far reaching impact that this movie has on the previous and fire MCU titles.

the climax where they are all standing in a circle fighting off waves of robots was cool but it would have been dope to see ultron prime take on the big 3 all at once rather than have solo fights throughout the movie 

i hope they left out a single robot and ultron is still alive

In the mcu she's a high powered telekinetic. She seems like she's also a telepath in the movie but she uses her telekinesis on a microscopic level to manipulate synapses in a person's brain

At least that was how they described her powers

Idk how she's able to see other people's visions that way

I liked it. The only thing that irked for was how soft they made Bruce look. Son looked pathetic when he was sitting on the ground wrapped up like a baby. And the thing Widow would do to get Bruce back :x don't make me throw up.

Part 1 is better, but Caps suit in part 1 is beyond garbage truck juice. I'm glad they fixed it with the winter soldier and AOU.

I don't even want to do a review for this movie. No words are needed.... Like how do you even take the first film serious after this. How do you watch a scene like a piece of a country blowing up in mid air and still find a way to say A1 is better? The first 20 mins of A2 is better then all of A1. The funny thing is the film basically presents that as picking up right where the last film leaves off, in terms of the sequence team fighting and the chemistry of the team in the beginning. I don't know if you guys noticed...but those Mf'ers were fighting in the snow in a forrest...not some generic city landscape that they were accused of copying from Transformers: Dark of the moon. THE SCENERY, THE ACTION, THE NEW CHARCTERS. I won't be extremely unreasonable though, yes there are things they could've done better on. Yes Ultron could've been less human with his dialogue but I see where they were coming from. Yes, they could've used Wakanda more but I see what they were doing. Yes they didn't have to play up the "out of nowhere" banner/ romanoff relationship to play down the "out of nowhere but based off of actual source material" relationship of vision/ Scarlett witch but I can understand where a relationship like that can come into play later...this movie was a visual gift. Something I never could imagine i would see in my time and you guys are still stuck on the fact that hulk transformed at will? Lol wait lemme guess, Loki's dialogue? Because his dialogue wasn't better in Thor 2... but you all hated that film too remember? FOH I'm not understanding any of you guys putting the first over this. It's everything the first one was times 2, what a sequel should be. What were some of you looking for I'm honestly curious, because I'm convinced anyone putting the first over the second doesn't have a reason other than "it was the first time" or "it was magical seeing them all together for the first time". You know what is magical, the fact that Joss Whedon even had the foresight to try and trump the first one and gave you everything he did with this film. The film even gave the inifinity gems more action then Guardians did......you guys are insane, honestly.

In general, in this thread, everyone seems to like the film.

I think half the problem is that we're just spoiled. Marvel has straight up spoiled us so now it's just nitpicking at things cuz we want 'em perfect.

I think when it's all said and done, we're going to miss Whedon.

He had an enormous task ahead of him, I don't blame him for quitting

He had to

Establish Ultron.

Establish Scarlet.

Establish Quicksilver.

Establish Vision.

Take that big ensemble of heroes and spread out the dialogue among them so everyone feels important and not "left out."

Work in character beats for everyone while at the same time plotting out action beats throughout the film.

Make the movie dark to show the growing "evolution" of the MCU movies, but at the same time having funny moments.

He redeemed the heck out of Hawkeye after giving him the shaft in the first movie.

Most complex film to date and it's not even close. Give a ton of other writers this same task and it'll be a cluster ******* mess for real

I know a lot of you guys have put other marvel films over this and it's all right, you're welcome to your opinion - but all those writers had less on their plate than Whedon - it remains to be seen if any of them are up to task of writing for an Avengers film. We shall see.

Really didn't like how they did my boy Quicksilver. Dude has so much potential.

Still don't see the big hype over GOTG, movie was not that great in my opinion.
