WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Not necessarily.

Look at what the Russo brothers directed and wrote prior to Captain America: Winter Soldier.

I know that the Russo Bros have worked in comedy. But from what I understand, they only directed Cap 2.

The writers are the same ppl who wrote Thor, and the same ppl who are going to write Infinity War.

But you're right though, just because they've hired comedic writers doesn't mean it's necessarily going to be a comedy like that.

The real mid credits scene:
Thanos reaches for the Infinity Gauntlet in a vault, and proclaims "I guess I have to do this myself"

So they got one of the GotG writers and a Disney/Pixar writer to write the script for Captain Marvel... Both of them females

Interesting.

Sounds like they're going to set the comedy slider all the way up

Damn. Looking fwd to it.

wonder how Nicole Perlman's work will be like without it being "James Gunnified"

I'm still in though. It's still real to me dammit!

Meh, watched most marvel flicks at midnight release with my dudes, and liked them all in some way. Ain't **** changing ****.

Not saying it's going to stop anyone but it's just a surprise considering the first one is like in everyones top 3 and number 1 to many. Plus it's Whedon, I guess I was just expecting it to be crazy good after seeing Cap2 and GotG. Really expected AntMan to lower the bar, not AoU.

Only review that I really enjoy and consistently check out are Jeremy Jahns anyways.

In the end some of the bad things are probably just being highlighted and I think it might also suffer as not being as good as the first. Still good but just can't match the first ones.

I like Jeremy's as well but its gotten to the point now that I have to see a movie for myself cause most of these critics are using hyperbole or just don't like something because of something personal.

Whedon says Edgar Wrights AntMan script is the best Marvel has ever had.

“I don’t get it, I thought the script was not only the best script that Marvel had ever had, but the most Marvel script I’d read. I had no interest in Ant-Man. [Then] I read the script, and was like, Of course! This is so good! It reminded me of the books when I read them. Irreverent and funny and could make what was small large, and vice versa. I don’t know where things went wrong. But I was very sad. Because I thought, This is a no-brainer. This is Marvel getting it exactly right. Whatever dissonance that came, whatever it was, I don’t understand why it was bigger than a marriage that seemed so right. But I’m not going to say it was definitely all Marvel, or Edgar’s gone mad! I felt like they would complement each other by the ways that they were different. And, uh, somethin’ happened.”

I feel like Marvel leaked too much of the movie from previews honestly.  I have no real big expectations for this movies,  still will be a entertaining movie.

Their marketing campaign was aggressive but that's what you should expect from a movie that will gross $1.7B. Thats a good $400M more than the next highest movie this year.
