WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

To do a dope superhero movie where they fight each other over an issue that can lean on what's topical. The story had WAY more impact on Iron Man and Captain America last I checked. IM became head of SHIELD and that led to Dark Reign and Cap "died" being replaced by Bucky for like 4 years or w/e. Not to mention half of the Avengers had to go on the run and operate halfway in secret while being hounded by SHIELD Avengers and goons.

Not to glorify using Spidey  If they wanted to do a movie that impacted him they'd do Secret Wars.

One more day still affects Amazing Spideman issues to this day. Just look at how eager people are to get their hands on Renew your vows. Spiderman unmasking himself made worldwide news. That was biggest thing that happened in the comic book world since death of superman

I was thinkin BW, Hawkeye, Falcon, Cap.
Maybe Ironman if she caught him between suits, which doesn't seem likely.

Nebula withstood a rocket and was engineered with the ability to reconfigure her body.

While 3 bullets and Cap was shook.

All of them are gonna have to be toned down

Like we kno Cap will have an integral part but it's no way he could square up with Thanos

My apprehension is more so on the fact that Spiderman has yet to be cast and filming has been going on for damn near 2 months. I don't need the gawd superhero's role limited >:

But if you tone down Thanos too much then all that hype that they built for 15 years by the time the movie comes out would be a waste. Also part of the reason Inhumans shouldve come out before IW2. Black Bolt >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Imagine a marvel movie where the real life actor died as well as his character in the movie? Records would be shattered.

if someone dies in real ife, them dying in that movie would be too insensitive and he would live on, even if they planned to kill him from the beginning.

No it doesn't. ASM today is a cause of what happened in OMD it doesn't continue to affect it.

I'm not disagreeing that some fans still want the marriage or that Spidey unmasking wasn't big. Thing is as of now none of that even happened. We're basically not even in that universe anymore

It's no different than fans wanting Ben Reilly alive or Eddie Brock to be Venom or the resurgence of fans wanting Gwen alive due to the movies.

CW effectively changed Marvel comics. Avengers books are still huge sellers to this day due in part to that event. To say Spidey had the biggest impact from it in story when current Spidey didn't even go through that is kinda missing the point of OMD and OMIT. It was coming either way. The set up for it didn't have to be cuz his identity was publicly known. The marriage would be gone regardless and lets be serious the world wasn't going to be know Peter Parker is Spidey forever in comics.

Plus I think you're forgetting in this Civil War movie Spidey isn't getting unmasked.

No it wouldn't.

Especially if the writing makes sense and past movies led up to that death.

Like if DC wanted to do a Death of Superman movie and promoted it as such and the actor playing him died a month before release what they gonna do? Scrap the film?

You might not know how businesses work

If the title is Death of Superman, then ya, the character is going to die regardless. What they'll probably change is how the character dies. Like if character was planned to die a certain way but it's too similar to how the actor died, they'll probably change that out of respect for actor's loved ones, etc.

Like if hypothetically, Paul Walker's character had been planned to die in a car crash, obviously they'd re-write that.

If character wasn't planned to die, but actor dies, it's up to studio's discretion but they'll handle it with care. Rule of thumb would be for the send off to be meaningful or tasteful, without callousness. If they can make a poetic death arc, they'd write that. If they can't, then they'll retire the character like they did with Paul's.

Any other way would be a PR disaster lol

Wow so theres marvel talk in the dc thread and then theres dc talk in the marvel thread lol

Shoulda just had one combined thread

I think people can handle superheroes dying.

But watching a person die in a crash is all too real.

i saw AOU yesterday. it was cool. All all seem to blend together for me at this point. Just another fight. Another issue. Another problem.
They're fun flicks to watch, but not as stimulating as they used to be. this movie seemed to move fast as hell. mark ruffalo going hulk in black widow wides? not tight no mo.

I think it's why I liked the dark knight flicks. they werent just comic movies, they were legit films that just happened to center around comics.

What? We're talking superhero movies here.

I highly doubt Emma Stone would be dropped off a bridge by a dude riding a glider or that Henry Cavill would fight some rock looking monster to the death in Kansas.

If the movie is called MOS: Doomsday and the surprise is Supes dies and the movie is already shot they're not changing how Superman dies. Of course the studio has to handle how the death with care but you don't compromise the movie by changing critical points of the movie. This isn't like when Heath died and it was as simple as not having the Joker in sequels. It's Superman. They wouldn't stop making those movies according to schedule or reboot right after. Choice would be cast somebody new or keep Supes dead for a while until they scrap this shared universe.

That's obviously a different situation for obvious reasons.
New Marvel Universe poster for 2015 doesn't have XMen or F4 but the question is... when will we see Devil Dinosaur in the big screen?

when will we see the moon from majoras mask on the big screen?

There are so many characters in there I don't see working on the big screen.

Ehh let's not act superhero characters can't die in other ways..

Quicksilver got killed by a bullet.

If actor was killed by a bullet before movie released, scene would be re-shot
