WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

I thought about that aspect that they would not trust him being tight-lipped about movie plots and stuff. But legally these actors sign stuff anyway and would get sued to hell.

On something related, my friend works for a company that does Star Wars merchandise. His co-worker's high school scumbag son was doing an internship. He walks into the art department and takes pics of SW characters that haven't been revealed yet when no one was looking. Posts them on reddit. His dad gets fired the next day and the company gets a call from the Disney / Star Wars people.

Bruh.

I would've told that little fool to meet me outside and beat him like we were rivals. I'm mad on his Pops' behalf.

Did the company sue him as well. Because if they lost the Disney/Lucas contract because of that company could potentially sue him into a black hole. Not sure what the laws are around suing minors.

I asked my friend if they lost the licensing deal / contract. He said they didn't. They do a lot of Disney properties and also Marvel stuff so they had a good business relationship before. kid definitely needed his jaw to get rocked by a few people.

I liked the Plummer kid smh

Honestly don't think it really matters who lands the role that much though because he'll be surrounded by a loaded cast in every film he's in. Feels like they're gonna really crush it with the villains this time

Hopefully no more goblins

I don't really know these two kids at all, but based off of looks, gotta go with Charlie Rowe. Tom Holland just doesn't look right for Spiderman, like he'd be better off as a villain

damn that sucks if true. I mean he could have tried to hold it until Marvel announced it. I mean I know its hard.
Remember that they have no problem with cash right now and don't care about consecuences. That's why the old actors don't spill the beans. They know that talking can screw them outta big paydays.

Seems like yall really falling for the rumor was a fact and because they've switched to other ppl it's the rumor and him talking about it that lost him the role.

When the simplest conclusion to reach is he never officially had the role and these sites were simply covering up for their lie of a rumor.

The funniest part being Asa wasn't really a great choice anyway.

Chiwetel playing Baron Mordo? dope. but I still wish he woulda got the role as Black Panther (I believe he was considered for the part at one point). I'm not really a fan of the guy they chose for BP. forgot his name. but I wasn't too crazy about his performances as Jackie Robinson and James Brown. I think Chiwetel woulda been a much better fit for T'Challa

That's like saying the superhero movie craze is done cuz FF7 shot up to the top 10.

Did ppl think Jurassic World wasn't going to do huge #s?

************* LOVE dinosaurs.

People thought it was gonna be big...but not like this

JW numbers got me like

Analysts were tracking it at like a $110-130million opening weekend and it ended up overperforming by about 70%

Yea, Universal with two movies potentially making over a billion each

They're sitting around a table right now wondering if they can crossover Jurassic Park with FF and profit

They may announce in July that Dominic Toretto and the dude Chris Pratt plays are in the same universe

Next July, we may actually get a Hobbs versus T Rex showdown or drag races against raptors

Jurassic Park and GOTG have propelled Chris Pratt into the stratosphere. He's next level now. Dare I say, this generation's smart mouthed action hero? Taking the reins from the likes of Bruce Willis, Schwarzenegger (I'm shocked as hell that I just spelled that correctly with no Google check) or Sylvester Stalone?

Wonder what he'll demand from Marvel moving forward. He's about to get an RDJ payday. Kudos to him though.

The superhero craze is no more, fellas

Jurassic World is already at 500 mil worldwide :wow:

I wouldn't go that far. AOU did $1.354B and the production budget was only $250MM, so... I mean add another 150 million in advertising (unless it's included in the production budget) and the thing still grossed almost a billion. I think the genre is safe for now.

And it still hasn't even opened in Japan.
