Vacation writer-directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein are being set right now to write the Spider-Man reboot movie for Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios. The pair had been among the names on a shortlist to direct, but that gig went to Cop Car helmer Jon Watts, and the studio already has found its new Peter Parker in Tom Holland.

Yo, it's always cool to see what actors are also writing screenplays / scripts. When I was watching the oscars and saw the dean from the show Community win an award for The Descendants screenplay my mind was blown. Same when I saw one of the dorky character actors from buffy the vampire slayer was a writer for a nominated show.

It being a Captain America movie, they will probable make it kinda hard to pick sides while watching it. Although with RDJ/Iron Man being face of MCU for so long it probably will be more favorable to Iron Man's image than it should be. With the amount of characters going to be in it, it almost could be called Avengers:Civil War where you could get a more even split audience side picking. But with the lack of Thor and most likely absence of Hulk obviously prevents that.

Anyways here's to hoping for a great movie

I think the only Avenger absent from CW is Thor. Which is kinda crazy.

ssjjfar Been saying from the jump that this should've been an "Avengers" film instead of a "Captain America" one. That just doesn't even make any sense honestly.

The original event favored Cap's side a lot more over Tony's, in terms of portrayal. (Yet word from the top is that the writers were trying to show Tony's side in a good light, which actually shows a lot of incompetence in my opinion) But i'm also hoping that Iron Man being such a popular character in the filmverse will lead to a better portrayal, and therefore a better event all around.

Both sides had a solid point in the comics, at first, and there's no reason the same can't happen here.

I really don't care what else happens in the movie, but if if they don't have a Hope vs Agent 33 vs Maria Hill vs Black Widow vs Scarlet free for all catfight, the movie will have lost.

Hell, if we can throw Mockingbird and Skye in there

Well according to reports, the conflict will start due to Crossbones, and Crossbones is Cap's villain, so technically....
