WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

I think Star Wars and BvS will be #1 and 2 respectively. I know Cap and Marvel are doing amazing...but Star Wars is still Star Wars and everyone has always wanted to see Bats and Supes on the same screen.

My guess is that BVS is going to be incredibly front loaded, but unless the movie is also as good as its hype, I don't think it's going to have the legs to be a number one grosser

Star Wars is only projected to do 1.2 billion. So unless a miracle happens a lot of you will have to accept that Avengers, Fast, and Harry Potter have all outgrown the SW fanbase. Tho I expect Star Wars to be able to catch up to Fast, Harry Potter, and most likely Avengers a few movies down the road, that wont be till at least ep 9

No movie is topping Avatar for a while. You guys need to all stop dreaming.

Completely forgot about Avatar. lol.

That 1.2 projection seems a little low

Not really. A lot less people go to the movies these days and a lot of you guys seem to forget that from time to time. Thats why highest box office adjusted for inflation is WAY different than Highest Box Office.

Even if it beats out Avengers or AoU (whichever is highest grossing by the end of the year) it is impossible that the movie do Avatar numbers. Straight impossible. Very doubtful that it will top Titanic either.

Either way neither Cap 3, Ep. VII, or BvS has any chance of being top grossing movie of all time.

Saying that Cap 3 would be is just as farfetched as when lamekilla was saying the Avengers movies will triple in revenue if they had Spidey

And by the middle of next year a lot of people will learn that Avengers has supassed Justice League in popularity. Rushing Batman and Superman to be on the screen together will not give it Avengers numbers.

If it's bad people will go see it again to convince themselves that it's not that bad.

If it's good people will see it again.

sunshineblotters sunshineblotters Where'd you get that 1.2 number at? I see way higher predictions.

And Fast7 success was all for Paul Walker. The die hard fan base even seems tired of that franchise. It'll still do good, but it's def reached it's zenith. To say their fanbase outgrew the Star Wars fanbase is more outlandish then most of your JB posts back in the day.

Yeah 1.2 is really low. Don't think it'll get 2 but it's not unreasonable to think it'll be in the ballpark of the Avengers/FF

Especially given the hype

I guess I ****** up. Articles I got them from but never read the dates. This was from a recent google search too. Like less than 2 months.

Screen Rant for 1

Cinemablend but they did say they also agree that 1.2 billion would be lowballing it
http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Star-Wars-Episode-VII-Already-Predicted-Make-1-2-Billion-38427.html

JB post were not outlandish. Many of the times the threads would clown me, then end up agreeing with me and forgetting I said it first. Like when I said the Black Toes that recently released where poor quality. The **** suckers in that thread were slurping JB just to turn around and say what I said.

Also in the same thread I acknowledge that fanbase/box office revenue size was fluid. And that Star Wars will surpass even the Avengers fanbase by ep. 9. Fast 8 will do well simply because of how well Fast 7 did. Doesnt mean Fast 9 or 10 will be that way. Transformers just kept getting worse but somehow increased box office.

Another rumor via El Mayimbe, seems that Black Panther will be hunting down the Winter Soldier in Civil War so that might lead to him meeting up with Cap as they cross paths in looking for him?

Reason? Speculations are Winter Soldier might have assassinated someone from Wakanda, maybe BPs father?

Im not even a Star Wars fan, but I wouldnt underestimate their hype. All their movies are in the top 50 grossing movies ever, and the prequels, which majority of their fanbase hated, grossed more than ep4-6, and sit in the top 25. I thinj it'll fall somewhere at 3-4.

Avatar was at the perfect place at the perfect time. 3D movies were fairly new and everyone and their moms saw it in 3D, in fact 65% of the audience saw it in 3D. The 3D and IMAX 3D tix prices to help jolt the total gross.

Titantic tix were around $5 in 97. Avatar tix were almost triple that on average for 3D.

His face should look worse than that.

Definitely acknowledge all those things. Still tho my main point that nothing is touching Avatar until inflation sits in is still valid.

Saying that Cap 3 will surpass it is essentially saying cap 3 will do over 3x what cap 2 did.
BvS would need to make more money than TDK, TDKR, and MoS to reach that and there is a lot of overlap between who is seeing BvS and who was seeing the standalone Batman and standalone superman movies.

Why would WS be doing all that :nerd:

I thought he was no longer brainwashed. Seemed like he was free at the end Cap 2

Might be from an old mission?

It would make more sense for Klaw to be the one who kills T'Chaka

Klaw has already been introduced and shown that he did something terrible in Wakanda

WS was no longer under mind control at the end of Cap 2

Yah but again it could be from an old mission that occurred before Cap2 and now that WS isn't so hidden and controlled, he is out there and BP has a chance to hunt him down, he is more vulnerable?

It could also be Klaw for sure but I don't think Klaw will have a role in in CW so we'd have to wait for his next appearance in BPs solo film.

Avatar at 2.7 gotta be untouchable. That's crazy

But Fast 7 sitting at #4 all time is still amazing to me

Still has a chance of topping avengers and avengers 2 since A2 aint doing its predicted box office.
It's disgusting :x
