WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - XMEN97 release 3/20

Outside of the Black Panther and the Thor stuff, what other set up was there?
Nothing, really. Thanos was a given from A1 because back in 2012 we expected him to appear as the villain in A2, but we got Ultron.

Ultron was too much of a one-off villain. It wouldn't have been so hard to have one or two of his drones survive so he could menace the heroes some other time

Ultron's not dead. And I didn't expect Thanos. It would've been stupid of Marvel to introduce him so early.

But he was already introduced

I'm pretty sure everyone I know expected him to be the villain of the sequel after seeing the A1 post-credits scene

By introduce, I meant make him the villain of the next film.

Because it makes perfect sense to include, arguably, their most powerful villain, facing a handful of heroes in IM, Thor, BW, Hawkeye, Cap and Hulk. Don't know why anyone would've expected that.

I can't front, I did expect Thanos to be the next villain for the avengers. However, when I saw the setup they were laying out, I couldn't be mad.

The fact that Ultron, Loki, and Red Skull are still running around somewhere makes me scratch my head. Marvel gotta start letting these guys off these villians, word to the OG Spider-Man trilogy.

Thanos will be more than enough for the Avengers, so I dont get why they're being left alive. I know, they can appear later down the line. But the MCU is large enough for them to start offing dudes.

Im just saying.

Stane, Mickey Rourke dude, ole dude from IM3, Malekith, Ronan, Zemo and more maybe? Villains are being offed.

If they killed everyone off in their first movie we'd be out of decent villains before the end of Phase 3

They can't kill Loki. Best villain so far and a much better reason to watch Thor than Thor himself.

Ultron is gone. He aint around.

Since y'all put it that way. Loki, I agree needs to stay alive. Dude is like the Magneto in the Disney franchise, he plays both sides and is needed for the Thor story arch.

Only scenario I see if Hiddleston ends his tenure/contract as Loki is to sacrifice himself to save Thor from Thanos

I see Loki fighting on the side to stop Thanos. Not sacrificing himself. We already saw that in Thor II. It's not going to have the same effect.

Radcliffe was cast as Harry when he was 11. Butterfield is 18 right now haha.
