I deeply thank him for his belief in our team and what we can do to help support his creative vision in the years to come. I'd also like to thank everyone at Shady/Aftermath and Interscope, particularly Eminem and Dr. Dre, for offering their endorsement and support of our involvement with 50 Cent and G-Unit. They've done an incredible job these past 12 years, and we've got a great legacy of label partnership to build on."

50 Cent commented, "I have had great success to date with Shady/Aftermath/Interscope and I'd like to thank Eminem and Dr. Dre for giving me an incredible opportunity. I've learned so much from them through the years. I am excited to enter this new era where I can carry out my creative vision."

Eminem stated, "Both myself and Shady Records are grateful to have had the chance to play a part in 50's career. Shady simply would not be what it is without 50 Cent. I've developed a great friendship with 50 over the years, and that's not going to change. We know 50 will have success in his new situation, and we remain supporters of both him and G-Unit."

According to Steve Berman, Vice Chairman of Interscope/Geffen/A&M, "50 Cent is, and always will be, a marquee artist for us at Interscope/Geffen/A&M. We respect his decision to pursue this new venture and the next chapter in his career, and wish him nothing but the best. He will always be a part of our family."

guess we ain't hearing no new music anytime soon :smh:

Hopefully Yayo saved some $$$ throughout all that time, as he had every opportunity to.

G-Unit officially over?

While chatting with fans on his Instagram account, Tony Yayo dropped some textual pipebombs regarding the current state of G-Unit, and his and Lloyd Banks‘ relationship with longtime friend 50 Cent.

Tony Yayo in a series of Instagram comments on a photo he uploaded about “fake love” spoke on 50 Cent:

“50 ain’t rocking with me and Banks the same. I layed my life down for the unit but you live and you learn.”

The comments are hard to read for any G-Unit fan. Many even thought they were Photoshopped when they were inevitably screen captured and shared onto Twitter, but one look at Yayo‘s comment threads on Instagram showed they are in fact 100% real words spoken from original G-Unit member Tony Yayo. A man who with no mistake always remained loyal to the brand and 50 Cent.

But that isn’t all Tony Yayo had to say. Yayo appears to be fed up, and wants no part in music anymore.

“I’m done with the music and the industry this is too much for me.”

“Too many ***** *** ******. ****** want you to brown nose all the time…”

“Too much stress. I flew the world already. Dropped an album. Time to try new things and the Unit not together. **** it.”

This is not a good look for 50 Cent. Could he be upset about the recent reveal that Yayo worked on new music with Young Buck and Banks?

These rap ****** kill me
They talk about how much drugs they sold
How many gun shots they let off
How many corners they had to hold down
How much prison time they have done
But complain about how stressful the indusrty is???
These dudes is ******* lame

Industry is different than the streets.  In the streets you go out and get it, industry you have to follow certain rules, and "brown nose"...some dudes aren't built for that.

this dude 50 dont even rock with his firstborn SON that look just like him

im not shocked

G-Unit has been dead since before BISD dropped. T.O.S was mediocre at best. It's only right that they truly slam the door shut. When you're brining on people like Precious Paris and Kidd Kidd, and signing Shawty Lo to G-Unit, you've figuratively waved the white flag.

Kidd Kidd is actually decent
I respect everything dude did on them sqad up mixtapes
He was spittin

this record label is where the world's stars go for their last bow

he would have been better off at E1 entertainment

Capital is a terrible, absolutely terrible record label. They probably threw a bunch of money at him, because they're the Cleveland Browns of labels.

Seems like he didn't want to get with E1, because of what he was saying about Fat Joe and Cam.

50 is done, he'll probably invent some beef, go after Dre or Em to garner some momentum.

Sad that the loyalty isn't there with Banks and Yayo. I knew it was going to be like this though. 50 treats friends like enemies and it's always someone else. I was annoyed the way he would air out Banks. Eventually when you look around and everyone around you is different, it isn't all them.

People like Bang'em just experienced it early.

There's a certain level of honor and loyalty in the streets that doesn't exist in the rap world. There's no code, because there's no fear of death.

U obviously havent been involved with the former or latter.

At this point, 50 may as well focus on G-Note Records and go tour with Young Hot Rod in Austrailia.

I'm pretty sure that em, dre, and 50 got some new songs in the works I'm shocked at yayo and 50 didn't see that coming

its the end of an era

the only thing capital records has is the beatles pink floyd tina turner catalog coldplay & katy perry and other acts from years ago

only rap acts to ever make any money on capital records where mc hammer and vanilla ice & since no one buys music anymore 50's will be lucky if he touches 300,000 sales in any format for capital records

Lloyd banks last album tanked on capital and he had a hit or 2 from that album
