I moved to San Francisco(Inner Richmond area) a year ago and started to grow my hair out. My hair is getting long and now I'm looking to get possibly a taper/fade and maybe transition to a combover when my hair is long enough.

Ricks barbershop or ***** International off Geary are both great spots to get a cut.  Can't beat their prices

My go to is Rick's Barbershop off Geary and 18th.  You're in and out of there quick and the cut is only $13, plus you get a straight razor line up! Hard to beat in the city

So I just got a cut with a 4 on top and a three on the sides. My hair is fairly curly and I let it grow out for 2 months before I got a cut. After I showered I see a bunch of little hair sticking up. I'm like wtf!

Anyone know how I can get rid of this? This is the reason why I never go above a 2 but I wanted to try something new....So much for that |I

du-rag or a beanie to mat your hair down.

and IMO there's no point in getting cut with only 1/8" difference from top to the sides, my barber told me that it's not enough of a difference to blend it.
