Heroes Reborn Returns/Coming 2015 Save the Cheerleader Save NBC

Alot more returning characters than I expected... At least in cameos. Basically just missing Sylar, Claire and Peter.

That girl at the end hnnnngggggggg

Show still looks like garbage though. NBC should just go ahead and cancel this and renew Hannibal

Damn, my dude Chuck with the vicious heel turn.

Last few seasons fell all the way off compared to season 1, but I;ll give this a shot.

This wasn't all that good for a Heroes is back premiere.

I feel they're falling in to the same pitfalls they did that tanked the show. Setting up these weak subplots and mysteries. The entire story line with Japanese girl saving her pops in a video game just had me losing interest.

The kid that can teleport's story was okay but the homey Chuck as a revenge serial killer with his annoying wife or w/e is lame.

HRG not being HRG is a bit weak too. The mind wipe stuff makes sense but still. Bring the Haitian back just to kill him :smh:

Plus I feel this whole overall story line of the world against ppl with powers (evos is a pretty lame name  ) and them being hunted or outlawed while they're primed to save the world from some oncoming Apocalypse seems to lack any originality. It's like Kring decided lets rip off a X-Men plot since FOX studios is never gonna do the X-Men justice in the movies  and yeah I know other shows and movies take advantage of this type of storytelling and the X-Men did not start in the comics but geez if you're gonna rehash something try to do something different with it.

The repeat word in all this seems to be weak and/or lame.

I thought the 2 episodes were pretty good. The couple are basically going on a natural born killers murder spree. Doesn't seem to matter who they kill, they do it without hesitation. Surprised they just shot that guy in the arm to steal hrg's car.

Molly Parker was looking good. I knew she looked familiar. She's clint eastwood's daughter.

Oh I didn't even pay attention to that chick's name being Molly. She's fine.

I thought they'd be using OG Molly but grown up a bit.

I just checked and all of Clint Eastwood's daughters are fine.

Yeah, I used to watch that reality show clint's wife at the time had. She was pretty attractive and their daughter was cute but only like 15-16 at the time. I know she's probably looking damn good now.

Totally forgot about this show premiering last night.

Man I have so many shows I have to catch up on and now I wanna add another one.

not a great start

is this a mini series or are they going for a full comeback?

13 episodes. If if was anything like the first two, it won't make it until November. The show was just continuing with the same mistakes that made it terrible.

How did Molly walker grow up so fast? I kept thinking it was the waiter sylar killed.

Not introducing a main villain really hurt.

The Samurai storyline is dumb as hell. Just a rehash of hiro.

They cut the balls off Hrg. The new actors lack charisma, really don't dig any of them

^You sum up and reiterate how I feel.

I think there's suppose to be some implied time skip based off w/e happened in Odessa (I assume some explosion) but they foolishly didn't say this was 5 or 7 or 10 years later.

Still doesn't make much sense they couldn't get OG Molly unless she like others refused to come back

I don't even remember the Molly Walker character from the original show. The show was a few years ago but I guess it ended crappily because I can't remember how it ended either or what happened to the characters. I do remember they focused on a stupid carnival led by t-bag from prison break.

She was just a little girl. Think she had brown hair. Nothing special acting wise about her.

They did harp on how special/useful her powers were and I think there was a few eps there where they thought Sylar was coming to kill her but that's it.

I thought it was horrible. If you didn't follow the original series then you're out of luck.

I followed the first two seasons, even got the box sets but didn't keep up. I recall Claire and the dad looks familiar but everyone else is new.

I think it's going to tank badly. Their max audience would be those who paid attention the first time around. And from that pool, who knows who actually tuned in.

Molly I believe could find anyone in the world by thinking about them. Very useful.

I didn't watch the premiere but people saying its doing the same ole isn't a good look. Tim Kring.. I just don't like him from all the stuff he was saying when Heroes first started. Its obvious that someone else should take over this series or just let it stay dead

I feel like Kring saw how FOX had some success with bringing 24 back, saw announcements for Prison Break and X-Files returning, and convinced somebody at NBC to give Heroes another shot  Only reason I watched was cuz there wasn't much to watch on Thursday during prime time and even then I think I was splitting time between that and the rerun of Scream Queens.

Probably told them they'd get it right this time with one vision and one person in charge unlike last time. I totally agree someone else should've been leading this comeback.

It'll be pretty embarrassing if this gets moved to Friday or Saturday and then cancelled on air while the rest of eps get put up on demand. I say that cuz that's what NBC does to shows with low ratings  :smh:

nbc programming has been a mess for years. All their new shows this season will probably get cancelled. I stopped watching the black list because it was getting so stupid I couldn't tolerate it anymore. With superhero and comic book hero everything nowadays they wanted to get back into that genre even though they already failed with heroes before the marvel wave hit and their show the cape was pretty bad too.

In the Mr Robot thread everyone was wondering why they would put the show on usa instead of nbc when the channel desperately needs a hit. Maybe they thought it would be like Hannibal where it was a great show and loved by the people who watched it but wouldn't meet the ratings that a major network show needed.

This is correct. I think NBC didn't want to take a chance in the off chance that it bombed. It definitely has a more "indie" feel to it than NBC's usual lineup.

The surprise was that the reaction was overwhelmingly positive. Now they've got a hit on USA (which, imo, is very common), but their main roster is still hurting.
