-Saved by the bell comes from when people used to be accidentally buried alive. In order to combat this some were buried in special caskets connected to a bell. At night guards would listen for bells ringing in case they had to dig someone up.

-Caught red handed came from a law stating a person that butchered someone else's animal had to be caught with the animal's blood on their hand.

-Kick the bucket comes from when cows would be slaughtered, a bucket would be placed under it while it was positioned on a pulley. Sometimes the animal would kick during adjustment, n would literally kick the bucket before it died.

-Rule of thumb comes from a legend that a 17th Century English judge Sir Francis Buller ruled it permissible for a husband to beat his wife with a stick, given it was no wider than his thumb.

cuban link says he was at the club the night in question & it was actually dat shorty bleek that bounced a bottle off a terror squad member's head

also - he wasn't there for this one - but says both Big Moon Dog Punisher & Fat Joey Cook Coke Crack cornered Jay-Hove in a room & he ran around the furniture & managed to avoid a thorough beating with them slick words

I wanna say someone else was there for the jay-z chase cause i remember whoever it was said something along the lines of for a big dude pun was pretty close to catching jay. Surprised joe didnt get none of the kings to put hands on jay since he had/has them on the payroll.
