Lobsters don't age in the traditional since. In fact they get more beast the older they get. They don't suffer any ill effects of age. They get larger, stronger, and more fertile with time. Lobsters aren't actually immortal, like some jellyfish. Most eventually succumb to disease, usually she'll disease. Shell disease happens when bacteria cause scar tissue fusing the lobster to its shell. When it molts, it dies. But even with shell disease a lobster can live for many more years since the frequency in which they molt drops dramatically in the later years.

Haven't been to that country in almost 20 years. Never knew about that part of the country til my African American coworker told me she took a cruise to Haiti, thought she meant Tahiti.

On top of that, dude who made the original comment said hes been there. If he didn't know people vacationed in Haiti but he was there I would assume he himself might be Haitian.
