I'm curious about that Will Smith one too. Was he trying to rap first and just not flourishing or something? Because if son was an average Joe, I don't know how the hell that can happen

lol i dont know why i find this funny.... dude was a legit platinum well known rapper. But heres a tidbit many might not know. Smith was actually a genius and almost scored a perfect sat score at 12... Dude already finished high school, and was offered a full ride scholarship to harvard, mit, yale etc.....
He actually went to his parents and told them that school now would be a waste of time and he could always go at any time, and that he met a music ex, looked over the contract and decided that he was going to pursue being a rapper and actor.
Of course his parents esp...his mom being a former teacher/principal turned superintendent thought he was crazy along with his dad....(considering this was mid/early 80's and rap wasnt nowhere it is now) He told his parents that if he didnt make it by 18 in music and movies/tv he would quit and pursue education. All this decision making at 12/13 yrs old.... Seems like lil genius Will Smith knew what he was talking bout.
