I was literally watching world strangest jobs last night and NASA has professional smellers because smells lingering in the space ship can literally harm peoples lives because there is no air coming in or out of the ship, so the smells cant get out. Even normal everday smells can be harmfull if they never leave.
Any who, the guy said humans can distinguish between 10,000 different smells.

Yea i read it, I was kinda joking at the notion that a NASA professional smeller still referred to that especially seeing as the nobel prize winning experiment predates the show I was referring to.
