This is all that needs to happen to fix the issue. The feature is nice, but it being automated is making NT mobile harder to use. Especially when you open a thread on Computer NT that you had open on Mobile NT. It even saves the posting format that you had on there (Rich Text)

I have never run into a popup on NT Mobile, didnt even know they existed

Let me know if you guys see those ads again.  I believe the network responsible has already been pulled.

As for the draft saving issue, we're having difficulty reproducing the problem.  If you can recreate it every time, please provide us with exact, step by step instructions.  That'll make it MUCH easier to resolve.
 
Hes right. I just tried to make it happen and no dice.

I understand what the problem is:  you post something and even AFTER submitting it's still retained in the post editor.

What I don't yet have is a set of clear reproduction steps.  

e.g.

1. Create a reply to the following thread using the mobile post editor using Chrome for Android.  

2. Submit.

3.  Return to thread while still in mobile view by clicking on it from the forum page.

We've already established WHAT happens.  Now we need to establish WHEN, specifically, it happens.  Under what specific conditions is this happening?  "On mobile.... sometimes" isn't enough for them to go on. 

Once we can nail this down and recreate it 100% of the time, then Huddler's team can go about solving the problem.  

Until then, it's a little like this:

Chief Wiggum:  "This is papa bear, put out an APB for a male suspect... driving a.... car... of some sort... heading in the direction of.... y'know... that place that sells chili.  Suspect is hatless!  Repeat: hatless!"

Homer:  I can't wait 'til they throw his hatless butt in jail!
 
another issue on mobile is sometimes it enters a weird mode that causes you not to be able to click on the menu button and you cant quote anybody. Its quite annoying and you have to click on the home page and subscriptions after that or messages to go back where you wanted to. Way more annoying then this save draft feature imo

I dont remember exactly the steps when it happened, but when/if it happens again ill give u a detailed step by step.
 
Think this happens only when you qoute someone on your previous post. Mobile saves it.


Edit. Methodical Management Methodical Management just tried it, ithappened again. Quote someone, then post, go back to the thread.

also like other people said it happens across platforms. an old quote/response from the NBA thread on my phone that i thought i discarded was waiting in my reply box when i logged onto my PC

There has to be more to it than that. I've quoted and replied on mobile before (I'm doing so right now, in fact), and I've yet to have this happen.

We need a series of steps capable of reproducing the error 100% of the time.

I'd like to think we're narrowing in now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

i tried it just now on my phone, and it worked normally. but for sure its happened before...ill be on alert for the error while browsing on my phone from now on.

Another problem I notice is when I'm scrolling up or down so stones it just goes straight to the top of the page when that's not what I wanted to do. I thought it was just me but I saw someone posted the same thing in page one of this thread. This is especially annoying when I'm in the booty threads as I have to scroll through *** that I've already seen due to the glitch.

The site has come a long way from our last platform so I hate to sound like I'm complaining but I like that you're aware of these issues.

Ultimately we all want the site to be the best it can be.  We're clearly dealing with undesired glitches here, not unfair complaints/demands such as, "I like NikeTalk, but I'd like it better if it could make me a sandwich." 

I really do appreciate everyone's help in identifying the exact circumstances under which these errors occur.  

The more people we have looking into this for us and trying to reproduce it, the faster we'll have this solved.

What type of iPad do you have and are you using desktop or mobile mode on it?  I haven't encountered that issue on mine, but I'm using an iPad Air.  Sometimes input delays occur on older devices due to processes like spell check.  

If we can isolate the hardware at issue it would be easier to figure out what the problem is.
 
Whoa I thought I was just messing up everytime this happened to me. I'm not really bothered by it
 
Guys, the next time this happens and you see a draft that includes a post you've already made - LEAVE THE DRAFT IN PLACE.  Do NOT delete it.  

Let us know about it and Huddler will look into it - but they can't do very much if they can't see the problem firsthand.  They need to see that a saved draft includes material that has already been successfully posted to the forums.  

Even if we don't yet know how to reproduce it 100% of the time, just definitively confirming the existence of the problem will be a step forward for us. 
 
Someone get in touch with some GTA5 glitchers, they think of the most random process combinations for glitching. *Buy a car, press start, select, tap right 3 times, save game, then you'll get a duped car!* I'm sure they'd be able to reproduce the saved draft glitch. :lol:
