Its easy to avoid conflict though. These cases of cops acting crazy are 1 in a thousand. Sometimes you are just put in cuffs til the particular situation is solved. Since when could you protest an arrest before anyway. :rolleyes

I know it's easy to avoid conflict; I hear you loud and clear in that regard. But there's something to be said about standing up for your rights. Isn't that one of the mantras of this democracy?

That you should always defend your rights--right to protest. It would seem, however, that protesting your arrest is grounds for abuse and/or worse.

And I am NOT a cop hater, but let's not pretend for a second that a bunch don't abuse the rights and liberties of arrestees.





Shoo here ^^^ we have a clear violation of this guys rights, but had he dared to protest he would likely be dead of on some resisting arrest type steez. I just think it's crazy that as a citizen you are at the complete mercy of a cop during an arrest.

But, that's just an aside.

Protesting your arrest and resisting arrest are two completely different things. This guy was obviously doing the latter.

While there are no laws requiring them to help, Doctors frequently practice what they call "Duty of Care". If they see someone in dire need while off the clock... they help.

But on a serious note, dude brought it on himself. Also makes me wonder if the officer called in back-up which I thought they were supposed to do before investigating an incident
 
Trained for BJJ/wrestled for half my life and I can tell you that dude had some grappling experience and if the cop didn't shoot him it was a wrap. Cop tried to knee him and basically gave the guy a free takedown lol. The way he "shaved" the cops face to get out of the headlock isn't stuff you instinctively do this dude either trained or watched countless hours of UFC lol.

I'm saying tho, he ain't have to start dropping Hendo bombs on the cop once he got the upper hand, he could've easily gotten up and tried to escape. Prolly wouldn't of gotten far but if he wanted to prevent arrest pummeling a cop is just a bad idea. :lol:

Anchorage Assemblyman **** Traini has unveiled a long-awaited, wide-ranging update to the city's taxi laws.

The revision, which was unveiled in draft form at a city Public Safety Committee meeting last week, would allow rates to go up by 50 cents a mile. It would quadruple the city's code enforcement efforts, expand background checks for aspiring drivers, and require every taxi cab to have surveillance cameras recording drivers and passengers, plus a GPS tracking system.

I dont care if the police officer was right or wrong, the guy should have laid on his stomach and let the cop do his work.

Because the guy punched the police officer, I think the officer had every right to shoot him.

JUST MY THOUGHTS, You can disagree if you'd like, but it doesnt matter.
