Media goofed big time on this. Can't blame Alderson if a deal was never in place. Lesson learned that you can't trust all sources.
 
For real, I have no problem that we still have Flores. I've always liked him. I still hope we trade Wheeler for a hitter tomorrow or Friday.

Nope, it wasn't Mets' fault.

Pending trade or not. I still think Collins should have pulled Flores out in the top 8th inning. Flores was in an emotional state for crying out loud.
 
Rosenthal saying we backed out of the trade over worries about Gomez's hip. **** this gm man. Wheeler will never pitch 200 innings a year.
 
Mets pulling out of a deal due to medical concerns is not necessarily a bad thing, could be a red flag once they reviewed all the medical reports. Lot of stuff we don't necessarily know about.

Deals can still get done however, I can't complain when the Mets are active. Their moves have been beneficial so far. Hope for one more key move.
 
Definitely not blaming Sandy or the Mets here and I'm almost always the first to do so. Maybe they reviewed the reports on Gomezs hip and did not like what they saw. Maybe it is true Milwaukee didn't like something with wheeler.

I still think mets are very active in acquiring a bat. At this point I think it's venable or parra.

Bullpen cost the Mets this game. This is a very bad loss. Familia's 180 since All Star is troubling.

That's Terry Collins for you. After 44 minutes in between actual action you throw him out there. Couldn't afford to lose this series with Washington coming in.
 
Problem is you have no one good to pitch otherwise. Robles, Parnell, Clipperd and Familia were used.

You think I wanna see either Torres? Nope. I can live with bringing back Familia since there really wasn't anyone else.
 
No option really but to sweep nats assuming we don't come back after yet another rain delay. Will be 4 back in the loss column....

This loss and the last day in Washington will be crushing.
