I'd honestly hit him with a 3/90 just to avoid a 7 year deal. He's gonna want 30 mill a year, I just can't justify that for 5 or 7 years though.
 
I definitely don't want a 7 year deal, shorter deal with the right amount of money. I don't want Cespedes at 35 looking like an albatross on our roster.
 
Cespedes is exactly what we need right now.

Whens the last time we had a 30HR/100 RBI guy? This team will not win a championship if D.Wright is our best hitter.

Sign that cuban Wilpons. DO IT!
 
He would be the best player (and is), but this is the first time in his career he's ever hit 30+ HRs and 100 RBIs at the same time (only 100 RBI once), so either he's figured it out or he's just cashing in at this point.

Have to keep it short term imo
 
The wheels fell off tonight :x. Second series they've lost to Miami. Have to win two of three this weekend at the least.
 
Didn't know that Roc Nation was representing Cespedes. Just enjoy the ride and hope that the Mets win the WS because they're going to get a Cano like deal with none of the consistency. Cano wanted to be in NY, but Jay-Z shipped him to Seattle.
 
Just arrived home. Unbelievable. We lost at home twice in a row. We MUST win the Subway Series.
 
We always have trouble with the Marlins for whatever reason. Just take care of business with the Yanks, Braves and Phillies and we should clinch by next week. Not worried
 
Harold Reynolds said it best on MLB Network; this 2 game skid is almost a good thing for the Mets.

It brings them back down to earth a bit. No way were they going to be that hot, cruising into the playoffs. They do tend to struggle against Miami for whatever reason, but a real test will come this weekend. Same for the Yankees.

Subway Series is about to be the most important in years :smokin .

Much needed day off, team deserves it the way they've been playing.

Marlins always play tough and don't quit, annoying but I have to respect it.

Will be good to see how Matz does with a full capacity crowd tomorrow, don't care for the Yankees but just want to win every series from here if possible.
 
Man it's truly a treat to see how electric Citi Firld is becoming. "Rock like Shea" I think we can sweep. Yanks are looking deflated (no Brady) time to put the foot on their throats.

The only NL team that scares me in the playoffs is the Cubs honestly.

I am in Chicago right now.

Just watched Cubs game at a bar yesterday. Their offense :x Too good man

I ain't worried about the Cubs. The Cardinals scare me the mostly.

All the remaining NL playoff teams are very good, you just have to stay hot and have a little luck go your way.

More than likely be LA first, homefield would make a big difference imo
 
On;y got to watch the game on Friday, busy weekend.

Time for the Mets to beat up on the teams they should beat, deGrom def needs a skipped start
 
wont be relieved until we are up 4 with 3 games to play. I still get haunted from memories of 07 & 08.
