Duda aggravated his back, 15day DL
Does this mean Conforto doesn't need to be sent down?

hmm looks like Mets just got Eric Young Jr. for cash! $$ CASH! :pimp:
a speedster; i think we need this with how many hits we've been getting lately

if they're smart:

DL Duda
call up reliever from Vegas
on Monday send down the reliever or Logan Verrett, activate Wright.

Doing this means Conforto, Wright and Duda are eligible for the postseason roster. Duda comes back with the roster's expanded, as well as the reliever/Verrett.

a rockies pitcher crumbling again tonight

Man the 7Line Army is loudddddddddddd :pimp: :pimp:

Morning Briefing: David Wright set for Amazin' return

DENVER --

FIRST PITCH: After a 131-day absence, captain David Wright returns to the starting lineup on Monday as the New York Mets open a four-game series at Citizens Bank Park.

Wright, who last played in the majors on April 14, had been dealing with spinal stenosis in his lower back.

Left-handed reliever Dario Alvarez already has been demoted to Triple-A Las Vegas to clear the roster spot for Wright’s return. The Mets also will be required to make a 40-man roster move because Wright had been on the 60-day DL.

Jacob deGrom (12-6, 1.98 ERA) opposes Philadelphia Phillies rookie left-hander Adam Morgan (4-4, 3.92) in Monday’s 7:05 p.m. ET series opener.

DeGrom is bidding to become only the third qualifying pitcher in franchise history to finish with a sub-2.00 ERA. Dwight Gooden had a 1.53 ERA in 1985 and Tom Seaver had a 1.76 ERA in 1971.

Wright appears to be picking a good spot to return. He has hit .295 with 19 homers and 66 RBIs in 373 career at-bats at Citizens Bank Park. That is the most homers of any visiting player in the ballpark’s history. Wright also is a career .341 hitter against left-handed pitching, as opposed to .285 versus righties.

Before Monday’s series opener, Bartolo Colon is due to throw a bullpen session. Pitching coach Dan Warthen said Colon’s right forearm is fine despite it significantly swelling after he was struck with a pitch while batting on Friday in Colorado.

MONDAY’S NEWS REPORTS:

- Logan Verrett did quite well as a spot starter filling in for Matt Harvey. Verrett limited the Rockies to a solo homer by Carlos Gonzalez in eight strong innings and the Mets completed their first-ever sweep at Coors Field with a 5-1 win against the Colorado Rockies. Michael Conforto finished 3-for-4 with a double and run scored. The Mets scored 33 runs in Denver -- a franchise record for a three-game series, according to ESPN Stats & Information. The previous mark had been 32 runs, accomplished in 2011 at Detroit and in 2000 at Coors Field. The Mets trimmed their magic number to 35 while maintaining a five-game lead over the Washington Nationals for first place in the National League East. Verrett will need three days to recover from his 93-pitch effort, then will serve as a late-inning reliever beginning Thursday. - The Mets have only limited interest in reliever Fernando Rodney, who was designated for assignment by the Seattle Mariners, Mike Puma reports in the Post.

- With deGrom’s ERA at 1.98, Jared Diamond in the Journal charts the most recent qualified major leaguers to finish with a sub-2.00 ERA: Clayton Kershaw (1.77 in 2014 and 1.83 in 2013), Roger Clemens (1.87 in 2005 and 1.93 in 1990), Pedro Martinez (1.74 in 2000 and 1.90 in 1997), Kevin Brown (1.89 in 1996) and Greg Maddux (1.63 in 1995 and 1.56 in 1994).

- Seth Lugo took a scoreless effort into the seventh and struck out 12 and Las Vegas eked out a 5-4 win at New Orleans. Jared King grounded out with the tying run on third base and New Hampshire held on for a 4-3 win against Binghamton. Logan Taylor tossed seven scoreless innings and combined with Kelly Secrest and Kyle Regnault on the shutout as St. Lucie blanked Charlotte, 1-0. Savannah’s winning streak ended at 18 games with a 1-1 rain-shortened tie against Kannapolis. The game will not resume. Patrick Mazeika drove in two runs as Kingsport beat Bristol, 6-3. Branden Kaupe walked and scored the tiebreaking run in the eighth as Brooklyn beat Aberdeen, 3-2. Read the full minor league recap here.
