Gotham Knight video game (new trailer) 8/22/20 p.66

Update: Following the earlier leak, Game Informer has gone live with its cover reveal of Arkham Knight.

As you'd expect, the accompanying write-up corroborates much of what we said below. The Batmobile is explained as a "core element" of gameplay, which means a new area of Gotham larger than Arkham City will be revealed, including wider streets to accommodate the vehicle.

An accompanying video also explains the game takes place a year after the events of Arkham City. Game director Sefton Hill also says, "This is the natural end for the story. We really want to go out in style."

More details will be revealed in due course, which we'll be sure to keep you abreast of.

Original story follows.

Original story: Sleuths at website VideoGamer.com discovered a listing for a game called Batman: Arkham Knight on the website of British retailer GAME. It appears that developer Rocksteady has indeed been working on a new Batman game, and it will launch later this year.

According to VideoGamer.com, the listing notes that Arkham Knight is the “explosive finale” to the revived Batman videogame series started by Rocksteady with 2009’s Batman: Arkham Asylum. Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face, and Harley Quinn are confirmed villains that will appear in the game.

Trailer was dope. Really looking forward to this game now. Just gotta get an XboxOne. Gonna be a really good fall season for gaming with the second year of sports games (which are always better than the first ) and now this. I just hope this game looks really next gen and not just a lil more polished than the last games.

Being partial to Star Wars, I'd love a Boba Fett game with similar gameplay to AA/AC, myself.

I'm still bummed that Disney nerfed all the Star Wars games that were being made.

Star Wars 1313 was about being a bounty hunter, none of that jedi stuff

"Arkham" has become the series name and this is suppsedly the last so you can just call it that. Technically the city in the second game has become Arkham and Origins can be considered an Arham prequel so technically the name makes sense.

About to buy a 4k TV and PS4 this weekend just for this game. Can't wait!

One of the easter eggs or secrets in City that wasn't resolved was Scarecrows lair in the boat so I wouldn't be surprised to see him comeback. Fear gas canisters were all over the city too iirc.

Called it!

Seriously though, it would be epic if they make this a GTA Batman with the drivable Batmobile, make the world even bigger.
