Real Talk the 90s RnB Bench riders could wash every RnB cat out right now

R Kelly literally stole that Mans Soul like Soulja and then dropped the style when New Jack swing era ended smh
Meh. Kells was just the more talented dude. Sometimes it takes an album or two to find your own zone. But no doubt I got the two confused when R first came out.

Late 80's to 90's R&B will always be best of the modern day R&B. How about some Joe Public and Portrait and Intro. That album was smash city.

Three of the best mixes that covers this whole genre at its high point are the "Spread Those Cheeks Girl" volumes 1-3.

Now go practice making babies... you're welcome.

^^  HELL YEAH.  Repped!  My wife is gonna by amped tomorrow when I throw those mixes on her phone.  I like R&B from that era but she's straight obsessed with it.

I'm sure this album has already been mentioned in here, but this joint is severely underrated, IMO....

That Vol. 1-3 fails off top for using "U Make Me Wanna" instead of "Nice & Slow" and "Creep" instead of "Red Light Special".

We could collectively come up with something better than that Vol. 1-3.

& I wouldn't label NEXT as benchwarmers. Those dudes had some certified hits that JAM to this day.

Agreed. This is some of Timbo's best work.

This is a necessary thread, but Guy and Mint Condition rode the pine on nobody's bench lol. Starters right out the gate.

I didn't play the mixes for myself, they were mostly to help lubricate my woman while I spit that hot fiyah! She didn't care that song x should've been on there instead of song y. I didn't care either.

If you wanna make a new one though, I'll support you with a download pleighboi.
