Not taking anything from you, just saying, seeing a sample doesn't necessarily mean it's confirmed to drop, once style #s, dates & prices arise, that's when everyone turns up

which one are you referring? You mean you lile the white/true red-neutral geys (1997 samples) over the released white/team red-dark charcoals (2005 retro+) right?
The 1997 samples had a completely grey tongue and black jumpman while the 2005 retro had a white tongue with red jumpman.
They are similar but still different colorways.

Grey tongues with grey laces is trash.
Also, it looks like they're using the same slightly-more-sturdy-than-construction-paper leather on the side panels that they had on the black toes (er, "HGGs" for you younger folks).

This is going to be the only downside for me. When the Cherry 13s dropped a few years back, I was really disappointed with the quality. I agree with you about the black toes quality also. I compared both of these to the 05 Wheats and was like

but i think this unreleased og colorway
is great.
but i agree that the upper leather won't be
close to the ogs or 2005 retros.
not to mention the shape of the soles.

i was surprised back in 1998 that these did not
release but instead the white/true red-blacks which mj wore in all on the road games in that season.
i saw these on the official nike catalog for stores and some magazines also displayed these.

I'll never understand why ppl nitpick super early release pairs, funny thing about it.. If a NTer come on here with a early pair, they will be called fake in a instant. But if a dude on da gram have them early they get a pass, so whats the big difference ?
