"Unseen samples"?

So I've heard of these before, and after seeing Soley Ghost's NiceKicks feature just now, he said that he "isn't allowed" to show some of his unseen samples...is this true? Is he under some kind of obligation from Nike as owner of them to never show them online?

Someone familiar with samples shed some light pl0x.

Probably because he own a sneaker store, he had to sign a NDA along the lines for his Nike account.

So Nike might not get mad at him showing a shoe that has been seen before, but they might get mad for being a leak. That's my best guess.

Like I remember a longgggggg time ago I saw a pic of the "Sugar Rays" a Ray Allen JB sig. And I mean not a PE, a original designed sig like Melo.

I only saw them on like 2 sites. Both taken down within a half hour. Never seen them again. That was like over 10-12 years ago. So I would suppose shoes like that so exist

i know a perfect pair said he said some shoes that he could never show, i thought that was pretty odd.... maybe some people do have some type of contract or agreement of some sort...

I guess I just don't see the point of having something you can't even display...I mean the people that collect shoes (not wear them, but actually COLLECT) are weird enough...but you can't even SHOW these samples? What's the point?

If your connect tells you not to show something, don't show it

I've heard from some people that they couldn't take pictures and post the shoes online but if people saw them on feet that it was fair game. Don't quote me on that, just what I've heard.

could refer to say a sample of a shoe too be released, EG. Perfect pair has Oreo 5 samples, he showed us but he could have other pairs that are going to possibly release and jordan have said "dont show media this shoe until we decide if we have a version to release or not"

I can believe it, im sure when employees take samples for a wear test they have to sign something saying not to leak any pics or info about it, just like how apple employees have to do for taking prototypes home. Lets just hope that a nike employee gets drunk in a bar and actually goes home barefoot

I have several pairs of shoes, that I cannot take a picture of or show online etc.

My fav is a pair of Lebron 8's, 1 of 1 -

Look at it as being like a paper trail. These connects are probably giving out these samples behind Nike/JB's back so if a pic is taken and posted online then it would lead them back to that specific person. Just my opinion though...
