Aside from United 93 (which we know had terrorists on board, so there's actually a story to tell), off the top of your head, what commercial plane crashes have ever been dramatized into a Hollywood movie?

Maybe not before, but they make movies about everything nowadays. In Hollywood, everything goes for a dollar.

The conspiracy theorists are coming out. This situation doesn't appear much different from the Air France flight that "disappeared" not too long ago. It was an electronics malfunction. It happened then, and it's likely what happened now. Just because a plane falls off the radar doesn't mean it "vanished" into thin air. No need for the paranoid talk about WW3. No country is going to start a war by taking down a passenger plane.

This. I'm pretty sure this should be the least focused detail but the media is blowing this up. It's Asia, I'm sure hundreds if not thousands of people travel with fake passports daily. My parents went to Laos last year with fake passports from Thailand because they didn't want officials to know they were Americans and wanted to blend in to travel safely. Probably unrelated but I'm sure there are various reasons people travel with fake passports other than terrorism and hijacking airplanes.

Is it possible that the plane simply continued to fly until it ran out of fuel? And since there was plenty of fuel on board, is it possible that it might have even headed towards Africa? Searching for it in the current area when in actual fact it might have crashed in the Indian Ocean would be disastrous.

All the talk about fake passports is window dressing - two asylum seekers who hoped for a better life and found an untimely death. The group who missed the flight - forget about it, happens every day.

Just read that the two men who boarded the jet with fake passports entered Malaysia with Iranian passports. This is via CNN

Wonder if its true though
 
If the plane did crash into the oceand no debris/bodies were found, that means rouge waves were the culprit.



Read a few conspiracy theories:

UFO's/ET's (bizzare radar occurances happening immediately before the disappearance )
Hijacking and plane landing somewhere where the terrorists will use the plane as a WMD
North Korea at fault
Spontaneous explosion
Pilot suicide



I don't think it was terrorists because if it was a terror act, those responsible would've taken credit for it by now.

Black boxes on aircraft not being detected (it takes substantial explosion to destroy them, pretty indestructible)

Phone calls made from relatives to passengers on flight are ringing but no one answers (how is this possible? And why don't authorities move on this...triangulation?)

First thing that came to mind reading this article was "Lost"
 
No one here has any idea whats going on, even experts are baffled by this disappearance !!

Who gives you any right to judge the next man on his views.

Fact is, we are not almighty and no one has any real answers.

Something paranormal / extraterrestrial like just might be in the works.

It is not your place to judge someone for thinking outside the box.

Open your mind, don't be so naive !

No one on this board has any answers and that's a FACT !

You read whats put out there and run with it.

The fact still remains, an Air Plane Vanished !!

200+ passengers are gone, dead or alive makes no difference.. They are gone, simple vanished. Disappeared !!

Until concrete evidence has been found, any theory is worth taking in.

If your truly interested in the incident how about you just read, listen, research and form an opinion that makes most sense to you and keep it to yourself, why spread non sense negativity into the world. Just because you've come to a different conclusion.
