I will be completely cutting the cord when my 2 year contract is up with FIOS. I use my moms login for all of the streaming services, because she has all of the channels lol. Best way to do it if you can find someone that lets you use their cable login.

Repped. This combo is the exact same setup I use. 100% legal and works well.
My main gripe is that the Roku Stick I use is not super responsive- sometimes you have to press the button on the remote a couple times, lol. But I got it for free, so I can't complain

Sling tv was wack the few times i used it on trail. When you factor having netflix and sling tv and an add on on top of paying for net you might as well get a tv and cable bundle.

for indoors, two of these have been good but with antennas everything depends on how far you are from nearest towers and how much interference is in between.
of course it'll be better if you look for an outdoor antenna.

For my cable bundle with HBO and my 2 DVR boxes no bundle my cable is $160 a month.
With sling you pay $20 then netflix....then the BeIN sports add on = $32 total. If i wanted HBO it would be an added $15 making it $47 per month
Thats still over $100 a month in savings. And I am adding BeIN sports with SLING but i don't have that right now through comcast if i wanted to add that its the full special sports package and is $15 a month extra.
So I am really considering this. If i get the bundle back some how it would drop from $160 to $118 for cable. Even then SLING is still a big savings for me.

If you're out of market, that's easy: any of the above and then get league pass digital. With a cable provider, it's $200 and you get digital access, but they offer digital only access for $180 and you can sign up to follow a single team for $99.

If you're in market, you're stuck with cable due to outmoded regional blackout policies. Most of the regional sports networks have streaming apps now, but only for cable subscribers. They don't yet offer a la carte subscriptions like HBO.

Nah, I could save $60/mo. by dropping cable for SlingTV After taxes,surchases, and rental fees for the set top box, digital adapters, and modem for Fios, my bill jumped from $80 to about $120. It would be $110 but I opted to go no contract.

I pay 80 for internet and all that plus net is 127 and less content. I only pay for netflix when it comes to streaming and i have amazon prime tv only because it comes with prime

Only tv that gets cable in my house is the one in the living room. I have a 42" in my room that gets its content strictly through a Chromecast and other creative ways . When I move out, I'd consider that Sling TV deal but I don't see myself ever getting Netflix or Hulu

I agree I used the SlingTV for 3 months and at the end of the day it was wack to me too. Just an added $20 on top of my internet bill which was already $39.99. Im good I rather just get the HD Antenna that the NTer blessed the link with and do that.
SLINGTV idea is dope but you gotta factor in a lot of things.

yea the concept is dope, but literally only thing worth watching on it is AMC, ESPN, FX. would have been better if they did where you can pick 15-20 channels you wanted specifically ala carte.

Yeah thats how I felt. I would just watch those channels and HGTV. If they had the 15-20 channels you can pick for $20 a month that would be a game changer.

Advertising? Somebody wanted to know how to legally stream NBA games and I told him the answer, including the caveats that prospective subscribers should be aware of. They're not a sponsor and I didn't hesitate to mention the service's weaknesses. In fact, that was the primary purpose of the post. Subscribers should know what they're getting - and what they're not getting - before they spend their hard earned money.

Yes, we do receive DMCA complaints on occasion - typically from movie studios regarding leaked images and such. It's important to us to manage the community in an ethical way, and we've felt that way from day one. It's not just something we've suddenly concerned ourselves with because we're not out to embarrass our partners at Huddler/Wikia. If you're going to do the right thing, commit to doing the right thing. Don't just do it when you're certain that people are watching.
We're not going to allow people to brazenly discuss committing crimes on our forums. That's really not difficult to understand.
Nobody has the right to demand that we risk the community we've spent 16 years of our lives building because they're too damned cheap to pay for cable.

I heard that ESPN actually charges $3-5 per month to each cable TV customer, it's one of, if not the most expensive channels.
it ultimately comes down to the customer, I need to see NCAAF/BBall in HD. MNF & weds/friday NBA games right now are big bonus. I have TWC, if there is a cheaper way to get live HD, i'm listening. outside of live sports, cable is worthless because no one has time to 'be home @ __ PM to watch __' , the market is just not there.

I hear ESPNs #s are at all time lows, so maybe they along with cable companies come to their senses. Google Fiber is suppose to start taking sign ups this yr in ATL so I`m excited to see how Comcast combats this because in many neighborhoods the only high speed offering is Comcast or ATT DSL.

My internet has been constant at $80 a month. So i just left that out of the equation because i know i will be paying it no matter what. Those numbers up there are just cable TV only.
Why do people not like sling though? I literally am doing it for ESPN and TNT and Food Network. Like does it not work? Or you just don't use it?
