So what would you have done to make it better?

i'd take advantage of the collar area since its a full zip. maybe the sleeves by the wrists. the hood would work too. i'd do a 3M Olympic rings logo on the front wrist, or even the back. that "V" on the chest area has potential too. all the places Nike decided to put patches (chest, sleeve, back) are "safe". they've been used so much that they probably had a ton of leftovers and decided to recycle it. LAZY.

I'm not feeling the shorts nearly as much as the pants - the damn left pocket is too shallow and I can't keep my phone in there without it falling out, so I'm still mostly just rocking khaki shorts instead.

Agree, the left pocket is very small. But even when I'm wearing the TF pants, 90% of the time I carry my phone and my wallet in the zipper pocket on the right , so it doesn't bother me that much.

Yeah, I use the zippered pocket when I'm wearing the pants and shorts too, but inevitably that leads to brief moments of "oh no, I lost my phone" which is annoying.
