Jordan retro's will get a $20 increase this holiday season..

Naw, they said all the holiday retro's for 2014 are getting a $20 mark up. Which means, the 11's will be $205

There's no source, or direct statement/quote from any executive at Jordan Brand, why should I believe this?
 
I'll still cop retro's but I will be much more selective in my purchases.. if the powder blue 3's where 190 retail, there is no way I would have bought them. 
 
That's a VERY steep price increase...

I kinda don't believe it. Maybe the XI, but I don't see retros going from $170 to $190. I DO think the goal is for retros to eventually hit $200, but gradually, not so abrupt.

Exactly. I can see a annual price increase of $5-$10 USD but a $20.00 increase in a matter of months in the same year seems quite unbelievable. Even for money hungry Nike/JB.
 
If this does happen, I won't be buying nearly as many Jay's, only the few that I've missed on and hope will re release in the future.
 
people are talking about another $20.00 is steep but you guys will still be buying

what you guys should complain about is the aftermarket that allows this $20.00 mark up

also if you think paying $190.00 at the holiday season is alot dont you guys think the yearly retro 11 is not going to stay at $185.00 that shoe itself will probably be at a $200.00 price point

i have been paying anywhere from $220.00 to $300.00 a retro in the first 3 months of this year so i dont have to deal with bots lines campout's and animals breaking doors down in store's just to buy shoes


nike see's what where doing to get these shoes and their exploiting it
get with the program or give up the hobby

So are y'all basing this off hypothetical or the fact that there will be a $20.00 USD increase on ALL RETRO JORDANS at the bottom of 2014.

1. Nothing seems for certain about post holiday 2014 jordans. I wanna see some hard evidence.

2. Most of you guys will STILL buy jordans. Point blank period. If you still buy jordans through the crap that's gone on the last 3 years, than chances are 20 bucks won't stop you. And if $20 does stop you...good on you. Maybe people will vote with their dollar and things will change for the better.
 
The more we keep talking about how we will still cop some, the more likely nike will actually push it an extra 10. Most people with any sense will stop copping, or cop rarely anything if they have not already done so @ the $170 price point. The only way nike will not continue to push the prices is when their stuff starts to actually sit. I don't see that happening though since we have plenty of knuckleheads out here copping 200-250 dollar lebrons and kobes like they are going out of style. I don't see Jordans sitting as a whole even at 200. Sucks for those with at least a little sense and self control

. I'm over it though I have more than enough retros I'm sitting on 40-50+ (I don't keep a hard count) so I don't truly need to buy anything. Like I said before i'll just cop my all time favorite pairs if they release around the $200 price point and call it a day. Ya'll can keep copping a LeBron, KD, and Jordan retro priced @ 200 each on the same weekend like ya'll been doing

You do know that those Xs that Wroten wore when he blew out the soles came out 8 years ago right?  Chances are he's never worn them prior to the game.  

Back on topic, if true, not happy about it.  But not surprised either.
