I just started my first 9-5 about 4 months ago and if I step out for lunch everyday, it costs me ~10-12 bucks. (50-60 per week) i want to try to bring my lunch from home at least a few days out of the week to at least cut the cost a little bit.

what do you guys bring for lunch on a daily basis? im incrediibly lazy and dont really cook for myself (though i can) so i dont really have any ideas.

Started bringing my own lunch this week. Easily ran me at least 40 to eat in the area I work. I'll treat myself every once in a while.

I just make sandwiches with the Boars Head deli meat. I'll buy a bag of chips and a snack cake on my way to the train.

My go-to is sandwich and chips. I make the sandwich the night before and keep a big bag of chips at work so  I don't have to pack some all the time. Sometimes I just bring leftovers from dinner the night before. One quick, easy but delicious thing to cook is Naan pizza. Google it. All you need is naan bread, shredded cheese, and pizza sauce (toppings optional). Takes less than 10 mins to prepare/cook.

Im on protein shakes these next two weeks..... but usually it's leftovers from last night's dinner. But we have a cafe place here in the building and they HIGH as hell, salads be like $7 :smh:

Bring a sandwich but usually get something from my jobs cafeteria pretty good food and cheap for employees

If I ever find myself having a 9-5 desk job, best believe I am bringing lunch from home.

I work 8-9 so I bring a lot for the day:

2 instant oatmeals

1 greek yogurt

1 Amy's organic bean and rice burrito

1 granola bar

Maybe a string cheese if I'm feeling like a 10 year old

I'll also eat a pretty big salad from the salad bar at my job.  If there's a decent hot food option (rare) I'll take some of that.

great thread, i recently started packing my lunch too. hit up target during the weekend and stack up on bread, cold cuts, cheese, snacks, chobani and don't be lazy to pack it. best way to avoid laziness is to pack it the night before. also buy some chicken breast lemon pepper seasoning (no salt - keep that sodium down) and spinach or asparagus. takes about 30 mins to cook 2-3 days worth of lunch right there.

with that being said, i didn't bring lunch today  fml

I need to start bringing my lunch again. I usually just brought in leftovers from dinner but I haven't cooked in a minute... Need to change that

Yea this is a fresh thread.. i hit up that steak and shake, i works the overnight graveyard shift. I usually bring dinner but i needed something clutch tonight. lol

I usually go out and keep it under $5 for lunch or I will bring leftovers

I also try to bring stuff for the microwave such as French bread pizza, mac and cheese, etc

On sunday I crook pot some BBQ chicken breast and make some rice. Than split that into 5 tupperware. That's my lunch for the week. The chicken cost me like $15 (5lbs via Costco or BJs) and I brought a big bag of rice some time ago ($15). The chicken last for two weeks. The rice like 2 months.

my diet is all sorts of ****** up since I've been working remotely for the last few months

I have a 15 mins break i eat a packet of oatmeal.

on lunch i eat 2 cups of rice and usually some type of meat chicken, beef. And then veggies cucumbers or broccoli. Maybe potatoes if i feel like it

Here are some things that I'll include in my lunches

- Baby carrots
- Almonds (uncooked, unsalted)
- Apple
- Applesauce
- Banana
- Granola Bar
- Pop Tarts (brown sugar/cinnamon)
- Ham/Turkey and cheese sandwich
- Costco protein shake
- Yogurt
- Wheat Thins

I'm sure there's more, but I try to keep it simple. Every so often I'll hit the food court here on campus and grab Chik-fil-A or Taco Bell, but those are the exception to the rule.

my lunches be trash man....smh. I make em, bring em to work, and still go order somethin to eat smh

Lunch meat sandwiches and ill normally buy a bag of chips.

sometimes ill go to the food carts outside my office. The 4.50 cheese steaks are better than Genos/Pats that cost 9.50.
